𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲, I walked through the streets on my phone looking through stores for clothes. I had called a cab since I had no car at the moment. As I shopped the eerie music I've been hearing started to play making me lift my head from what I was doing. I turned to one of the workers confused.

"Do you hear that?" I asked the worker as they scrunched their faces up.

"Hear what?" They asked me confused.

"Th- The music, that mysterious music?" I asked as they shook their head,  "No the only thing I hear is Justin Bieber." They replied shrugging before walking to finish their job.

I tilted my head to the side slightly as I left the shoppe still hearing the music in the streets. Cars passed by and crowds of people walked trying to get to work. I started to walk and the music continued making me hit my head.

"Why won't it stop" I said clutching my head as I walked, the violin eeriness continued.

I walked until I was in front of red stairs, and I saw a dark skinned man playing his violin. His back was faced to me before he stopped and turned to me. It was the man from the plane I remember him.

"You. That- that melody." I said shocked as he stared at me with his eyes widened,  "That's been clanging in my head all day. I need help. Please. Please." The man begged.

We walked to a donut booth and I bought us both lemonades as we walked and talked about everything.

"First it was the plane, the vision. Then this morning, the music beating against my eardrums." He told me.

"No voices?" I asked him remembering when the voices told me about my mom, "You are hearing voices?" He said with his eyes wide in shock

"Eh, I'm not sure what I'm hearing— or why anyways." I said as I took a long sip of my drink.

"For me, music is a higher power. So this music we hear, you and I together, it's for a reason and that reason has to be my son." He told me as I nodded slightly

"He's the one who needs help." I said squinting my eyes trying to understand him.

"I was with you in Jamaica to play with the philharmonic. One night. But I left a 13-year-old child with my neighbor, and I returned to an 18 year old man, a man that is now behind bars." He said as I sighed

"I'm- I'm so sorry. What happened?" I asked

"Police say it was robbery. But that's impossible, you know, 'cause Adios a good boy. If I could just talk to him, there'd be an explanation, I know this." He said

"Sounds like you need a lawyer." I said not knowing what I would be able to do.

"I need to see my son. The jail said I need to be on a list, but I'm a resident alien and my visas expired. They say it could take a month, but Adio don't have that long, you know? His trials next week. Please, please. You know the police." He said as I opened my mouth to talk but closed it. "You're a daughter, yes? You have siblings?" He asked

"Two of them." I said nodding.

"Adios already been five years without a father. Can you imagine not being able to save your own sibling? Imagine if you were in my shoes not being able to save your own child." He said

I sighed and I pulled out my phone deciding to talk to aunt Michaela to see what I could do for him. On the second ring she answered and I sighed.

"Hey." She said with a long breath.

"You okay?" I asked making sure she was good before I asked her for something.

"Yeah, bureaucracy. What's up?" Aunt M asked as I sighed

"I....need a favor. You know anyone at Rikers?" I asked

We made it to the jail and I sat in the back so Radd could talk to his son, I didn't wanna intrude. When Adio saw his father his face dropped even more and they both sat down slowly picking up the phone.

"I wish I knew." Radd responded to his son I knew they were having a conversation but I couldn't hear what his son was saying so I looked away.

When they were done we went to the jewelry shop that Adio got framed for robbing.  "Everything lefts in the, uh, far case." The older man said looking at a gold watch

"Actually, we're here about Adio." I said as the man and the younger man in the back looked up.

"We still doing this? What happened to the last detectives?" The older man asked looking back down to the watch

"Uh, we're not the police if you didn't notice I'm very young all though older. This is Adios father." I said as the older man pulled off his glasses angry as he smiled

"You got some nerve walking in here. He cleaned me out— entire inventory. 41 years up in smoke. Some son you raised." The older man said as the younger man stood there

"You..." Radd said angrily before I grabbed him shaking my head.

"Sorry. My dads actually a good guy." The younger man said walking up to us with a low tone.

"And so is my son." Radd said angrily

"Look, I don't know what to think. I mean, we didn't even know Adio was his name until the cops said so. Turned out, he gave us a fake I.D., fake job references. So when everything's disappears, no tripped alarm, he's the only one here?" The younger man said to us as my face dropped rethinking maybe he did do it..

We ended up leaving the jewelry store and parting our ways after walking and talking a bit more. This was interesting and I know by the second it's gonna get crazier than this.
