His eyes fluttered open as he felt a slap on his left cheek.

The water that now ran down his chin was moist and cold, immediately waking him up from his slumber. However, he soon wished he hadn't when an unknown silhouette decided to walk over to him and pierce through him with a glare.

"Hey, you awake?"

Confused, Joshua looked up from the ground and gave a tired sigh when he met eyes with a black suited officer. He wanted to give out a snarky remark and speak his mind, but instead, he did what any other normal human would do: go back to sleep.

"Hey," The man grabbed his hair and pulled it back. "I know you're awake"

"If you do then why are you making such dumb questions?" He spat. "Please, even a 5 year old would've known I was only by noticing how wide my eyes were"

"Do you really think you have the right to speak back in your situation?"

Joshua tried to stand up. "Of course I-" And yet, he couldn't even finish his sentence when he was pulled back onto the chair.

At this, the black haired male silently cursed and looked back to stare at the figure that had allowed a smirk to appear on his lips.

"You were saying?" He said mockingly before he let go off the other's hair and went back to a nearby desk.

"Do you perhaps know why you're here Mr. Hong?"

"Not at all," He shrugged. "The last thing I remember is a certain someone coming at me with a taser"

"As expected from officer Lee, always filled with surprises" He chuckled. "Why don't you be a doll and remain quiet until boss comes back? He has a couple of things to say and a lot of explaining to do"

Joshua smiled a devilish curve. "This boss of yours better come fast or I'll make sure you never see the light of day again"

"You'll do that sitting there tied up?" He scoffed. "Sure jan"

"Actually, it's Josh, as in , you know, Joshua"

At this, the man took a deep breath and turned over to him in irritation. "Has anyone ever told you you're annoying?"

"All the time really. I like to think of it as a compliment though"

Just as the man was about to speak, a door opened to his right. Out of it came a man dressed in a grey suit with his tie slightly loose. His hair was a mess and his eyes were surrounded by nothing but dark circles that signaled he hadn't slept for days.

"Good afternoon Mr. Choi"

"Hello Hao, I see our little guest has finally woken up" With quick steps, he headed over to a desk that stood in the middle of the room and sat on the leathered chair that was behind it.

"Here's the information sheet we obtained from the prison he had stayed at and here's his background info"

"Thanks"

As he watched 'Hao' hand over his information papers to Mr. Choi, Joshua felt his hands begin to sweat. The words Jihoon had said before he fainted were still fresh in his memories, these only causing him to become even more nervous than he already was.

But a scoff coming from the desk instantly broke his reverie.

"I've heard quite a few things about you Mr. Hong," The brunet began as he glanced over and over towards his papers. "Never would have I expected you were this problematic though"

"Problematic? Since when?"

"Apparently, since long ago" He chuckled. "You've not only caused serious crimes, but have also poked fun at the other inmates." Seungcheol looked at him straight to the eye and smiled. "You're quite peculiar, aren't you?"

"First off, what would you know? And second, who are you!?" He glared holes into the dark haired male. "I was brought here for god knows what and now I'm being lectured by someone who apparently knows everything about me. Could you please tell me what is going on???"

"Well, first off, my name is Choi Seungcheol. And you're currently in our spaniard headquarters"

'Spaniard...' Joshua widened his eyes. "In Spain?!"

"That's right. You see, there's a reason for everything, a cause and an effect, and we didn't get you out of prison just because you were well-behaving" He clicked his tongue. "According to the officers, you were a very special case, which is in fact, just what we were looking for"

Joshua narrowed his eyes. "You're not really going to tell me what I'm here for are you?"

"Nope, not until your future partner arrives"

"Future..partner?"

"Yes," Mr. Choi replied as he walked closer to him. "He'll be someone you'll be working with for a very long time. A special case, just like you."

Confused and slightly startled, Joshua looked down to the floor with racing thoughts. The question he had asked a while ago kept repeating over and over in his head. Why was he there? Why would they need him? But most importantly, who was this 'future partner' he kept on talking about? Thinking about it all hurt his head.

"They'll be arriving soon," Seungcheol's voice interrupted his thoughts. "Minghao, please get ready with your gun"

"Yes boss"

"Wait wait wait, could someone please explain to me what's going on??"

"You'll get what you want in a moment, Hong," He tsked. "What matters most right now is the devil himself entering through those doors at any moment"

Joshua blinked. "Who-"

Suddenly, the door slammed open as a couple of officers entered with a man standing in the middle of them. He was chained from top to bottom and his hair was as dark as the orbs that carefully examined his surroundings. Immediately , Joshua felt a cold vibe engulf the room, this sent shivers down his spine.

"I guess you'll end up knowing sooner than I had anticipated," Seungcheol said with a sigh. He motioned for the officers to sit the man down on a metal chair that stood right beside him and they quickly did as told.

To be honest, the mere thought of having that chained up weirdo sitting right next to him didn't calm down Joshua's nerves at all. And as the man glared at everything, especially him, Joshua couldn't help but swallow back last nights' dinner in worry.

"Well," Seungcheol began. "Joshua Hong, meet your partner in crime"

"His name? Yoon Jeonghan"
