Ainz the hero (Overlord x rising of the shield hero)

AINZ POV:

Later that day, after Ainz joined Naofumi's party they headed to a bar to discuss how they want to move forward.

Ainz: "Naofumi we need another member preferably a swordsman"

Naofumi: "don't we already have enough people with just you and me?" ainz then shakes his head no.

Ainz: "It's because we're still a low level and we won't be able to level up fast enough if I have to keep resting for my mana to regen and even if I buy mana potions our money will run out quickly, that's why I'm saying we need another member. And since you don't have any attack power I'm gonna have to be the damage dealer."

Naofumi: "Ya I see what you mean, with a swordsman both me and them could fight really well together because I would be able to block and they would be able to attack while you would be firing spells." Ainz nods his head in agreement but then some thug-looking guys come up to Ainz and Naofumi.

Thug one: "well if it isn't the shield hero and the reject undead hero," he said with a smug smirk on his face.

Ainz: 'These guys look like bad news' then he realized what he said '...Wait he's calling me the reject!?!? Am I really that disliked by the general public?!' Ainz was then having another gloomy moment with himself because he was called a reject but was brought out of it with the thug saying something else.

Thug one: "I coincidently overheard that you need more party members, am I right?"

Naofumi: "yea and what of it?"

Thug 2: "well we could be your party members"

Ainz: "sorry we're not intere-"

Naofumi: "ok fine" Ainz was very confused by what Naofumi was saying.

Ainz: 'Huh? What is Naofumi saying can't he see these guys are nothing but trouble for us? He probably has a reason I'll see what happens.'

Naofumi: "But let's go ahead and discuss the terms first."

Thug one: "okay sure!" he says with that smirk still on his face.

Naofumi: "Your pay will be entirely performance-based. I trust you know what that means?"

Thug one: "nope, no clue! Hahaha"

Naofumi: "It means you'll be paid according to the loot we get on our adventure. I'm the leader so I'll take at least 40 percent. I'll split the rest at my discretion. If you do nothing you get paid nothing." the thug stops laughing at this response.

Ainz: 'Is he trying to give them a very bad deal so that they go away?'

Thug 2: "the hell? That means you could keep all the money for yourself!"

Naofumi: "I promise to pay you if you do your job. If you can do your job"

Thug one: "Alright fine let's get us some equipment, then!"

Naofumi: "Alright fine let's go but you're buying your own equipment" he then leans to ainz when the thugs were getting their stuff to leave and whispers to him. "Ainz when we get to the ally way get ready to fight ok?" ainz just nods.

Ainz: 'so are they gonna try to rob us or something? But I'm ready to fight nonetheless if things go south

All four of them then leave the bar and eventually hit an empty alleyway and one of the thugs brings out a knife.

Thug one: "Forget all this niceness just hand over your money both of you."

Naofumi: "if you had said that, to begin with, we would have saved some time."
