28: Dead Man's Blood

After a half hour or so, Jade fell asleep leaning against Oliver's shoulder.

Dean is on the phone with John.

" Yeah, Dad. All right, got it." Dean hangs up.

" Pull off at the next exit," Dean tells Sam

"Why?"Sam asks pissed.

Oliver could feel Sam's anger rise every second of the car ride.

"Cause Dad thinks we've got the vampire's trail."

"How."

"I don't know; he didn't say."

Not long after that Jade is woken up by Sam driving at full speed as he drives in front of John's car before pulling over.

Jade then looks at Dean and Oliver in confusion and both just shrug.

The three all watch Sam angrily get out of the car.

"Oh crap. Here we go." Dean mumbles.

Jade and Oliver sign.

"And we are now back to our regularly scheduled program. Yay." Jade says tiredly putting her head back on Oliver's shoulder.

Dean then got out of the car following Sam.

"We should probably follow them," Oliver says and Jade just nods as they both get out of the car.

"What the hell was that?"John yelled walking towards Sam.

"We need to talk."

"About what?"

"About everything. Where are we going, dad? What's the big deal about this gun?"

"Sammy come on. We can Q&A after we kill all the vampires." Dean requests standing in the middle of both John and Sam.

Jade and Oliver stay by the car staring at the three.
They both knew better than to get close to John when he was angry.

"Your brother is right. We don't have much for this." John says.

"Last we saw you, you said it was too dangerous to be together. Now out of the blue, you need our help. Now obviously something big's going down and we want to know what!" Sam rants.

"Get back in the car."

"No."

"I said get back in the damn car."

"Yeah, I said no."

"Alright, you made your point tough guy. Look we're all tired. We can talk about this later. Sammy, I mean it. Come on." Dean says forcing Sam back.

"This is why I left in the first place," Sam mumbles under his breath walking closer to the car.

"What'd you say?"John asks.

"You heard me," Sam replies turning back to John.

"Yeah, you left. Your brother and sister and me- we needed you. You walk away Sam. You walked away!"John says grabbing onto Sam's shirt.

"Your the one who said "don't come back," dad. Your the one who closed that door not me! You were just pissed off you couldn't control me anymore!"

"Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! That's enough! That mean's you too." Dean says looking at their dad finally breaking the two up.

Sam finally gets back in the car as John walks away to do the same.

Dean's eyes then soften as he looks at Jade and Oliver. They've been leaning up against the impala watching the whole thing. Both of them look exhausted.
