25:Shadow

After the whole kidnapped situation, the Winchesters decided to take a short break.

Oliver, Sam, and Dean have all been equally worried for their sister. Jade hasn't really talked in weeks. Oliver hasn't been able to pick up much change in Jade's emotions. It was always a mix of Anger, depression, tiredness, and overall just numbness.
Jade also didn't sleep much either. She would have multiple nightmares just in one night. Most end up with her walking up screaming.

Even though it has been a few weeks now all 3 brothers were shocked when Jade agreed to go on a hunt.

Oliver and Jade were now sitting on an apartment fire escape staircase waiting for one of their brothers to open a window to an apartment because Jade didn't feel like dressing up. Oliver on the other hand just didn't want to leave his sister alone.

After waiting for a good few minutes in the cold Chicago wind Jade and Oliver see Sam look out the window before walking away from it leaving them to continue to wait in the cold for a few more minutes before Dean finally opens the window letting them in.

"Finally it took you long enough." Oliver complains as he crawls through the window.

Help Jade crawl in as well.

"Your the one that decided to not dress up in a costume."Sam reminds Oliver.

"Oh well, I'm sorry I didn't think that it would take you, idiots, 30 minutes just to open the window."Oliver sarcastically says before he turns and closes the window while Sam gives him a bitch face look.

Dean ignoring the two goes down to his knees and ups up his toolbox and pulls out his EMF reader.

"So the killer walks in and out of the apartment no weapons, no prints, nothing." Dean says turning their attention to the case.

Sam goes to his knees next to Dean as Jade walks closer to the two.

"I'm telling you, the minute I found that article, I knew this was our kind of gig."Sam says right before the EMF reader starts going off.

"I think I agree with you." Dean before he starts to get up.

"So you talked to the cops?"Sam asks Dean.

"Uh, yeah I spoke to Amy an uh perky officer of the law." Dean says as they all start to expect the room

Oliver stays close to Dean and Jade stays by Sam.

"What did you find out?"Sam asks.

"Well, she's a Sagittarius. She loves tequila. I mean...whew. Oh and she's got this little tattoo." Dean starts talking about the officer when Sam cuts him off as Oliver tries poorly to hold in his laughter.

"Dean!"

"What?Yeah. Nothing we already don't know except for one thing there keeping out of the papers." Dean says going back to the case and Sam hums.

"Meredith's  heart was missing." Dean says.

Sam, Oliver, and Jade turn to him with raised eyebrows.

"Her heart?"Sam questions.

"Yeah her heart."

"So what you think did it to her?" Sam asks.

Jade walks over to where all the blood is to get a look at it all. Oliver follows.

"The landlady said it looked like an animal attack. Maybe it was. Werewolf?" Dean questions.

"No not a werewolf. The lunar cycles are not right. Plus if it was a creature it would have left some kind of trace. It's probably a spirit or something."Jade says softly still looking at the blood.
