Sam, Jade, and Oliver were waiting in the motel for Dean to come back to tell him about Marshall Hall's death because what was a quick stop to help Dean quickly became a case.

"What'd you find out?" Dean asks after walking in and throwing his coat on one of the beds.

"I'm sorry," Sam says softly staring at his computer.

"Sorry about what?" Dean asks walking over to the table.

"Marshall Hall died at 4:17." Sam says before signing and finally looking up at Dean.

Jade ignores both by digging her head into her book as she's sitting across from Sam and next to Oliver.

"The exact time I was healed, "Dean says.

"Yeah, so Jay, Ollie, and I  put together a list of everyone Roy has healed six people over the past year and we cross-check them the local obits. Every time someone was healed someone else died and each time the victim died of the same symptom Le Grange was healing at the time." Sam explains as Jade puts down her book on the table. Dean pulls up a chair and sits on the other side of her looking toward Sam.

"Someone's healed of cancer someone else dies of cancer?" Dean asks.

"Somehow Le Grange is trading a life for another," Sam says.

"Wait, Wait, Wait so Marshall Hall died to save me?"Dean asks.

"Dean the guy probably would've died anyway and someone else would've been healed," Oliver says knowing exactly what Dean thinking.

"You never should've brought me here," Dean says looking at Sam and ignoring Oliver.

"Dean I was just trying to save your life."Sam says.

"Sam some guy is dead now because of me." Dean yells.

"Dean, Sam didn't know." Oliver says trying to calm Dean down.

"The thing I don't understand is how is Roy doing it? How is he trading a life for a life?"Sam asks.

"He's not doing it something else is doing it for him, "Jade says.

"What do you mean?"Sam asks turning his attention to Jade.

Jade and Oliver looked at each and then at Dean knowing that they were all thinking the same thing.

"The old man I saw onstage. I didn't want to believe it but deep down I knew it." Dean says.

"What are you talking about?" Sam says looking back and forth between his sibling's confusion.

"There's only one thing that can give and take life like that." Oliver says.

"We're dealing with a reaper." Jade says.

"You three think it's the Grim Reaper-like angle of death collect your soul the whole deal?"Sam asks.

"No, no, not The Reaper a reaper. There's reaper lore in every culture on earth. They go by a hundred different names. There may be more than one." Dean says.

"But you said you saw a dude in a suit."Sam says looking at Dean.

"You think he should've been working the black robe thing? You said it yourself that the clock stopped right?"Dean asks.

"Reapers stop time and you can only see them when they're coming at you which is why only Dean could see it and we couldn't," Jade says looking at Sam.

"Maybe."Sam says with a sigh.

"Maybe? Sam as soon as we step onto that stage all I could feel was death and it definitely wasn't coming from Dean."Oliver says.

"There's nothing else it could be Sam. The question is how is Roy controlling the damn thing?"Dean asks.

"The cross."Sam says.

Dean, Jade, and Oliver raise an eyebrow at the middle child.

"What?" Both Oliver and Jade ask.

"Um, there's a cross. I noticed it in the church tent. I knew I had seen it before it was one of Jade's Tarot cards." Sam says grabbing the deck of cards that he grabbed from Jade's bag while she wasn't paying attention.

"Dude you know there's something called asking for something instead of stealing my stuff. You know that would be nice." Jade said sarcastically as Sam continues looking through her cards.

"Oh shut up. Here." Sam says quickly as he grabs a card from the deck and hands the card to Jade for her, Oliver, and Dean to look at it.

"I mean it makes sense tarot dates back to the early Christian Era when some priests were using magic and a few veered into the dark stuff like necromancy and how to push death away, how to cause it. Hell, our mom's Journal even says she even had a whole other book just explaining Tarot cards and not even that could cover it all because of all the lore on them."Jade rants still holding the card.

"So Roy is using black magic to bind the reaper?" Dean says.

"If he is he's the whirlwind. It's like putting a dog leash on a great white."Sam answers.

"Yep and it's also a great way to land your ass a spot in hell." Oliver says.

Jade gets up and reaches over the table to grab her tarot cards away from Sam.

Dean bangs his empty coffee cup on the table and gets up and walks over to put the cup in the sink. Jade pauses as she, Oliver, and Sam closely examine Dean as he leans against the counter.

"Okay, then we stop Roy." Dean says.

"How?" Sam asks.

"You know how." Dean replies quickly.

"What the hell are you talking about? We can't kill Roy." Sam says as Jade stays silent shuffling her cards. Oliver stays quiet as well.

"Sam the guy is playing god deciding who lives and dies. That's a monster in my book." Dean says.

"No, we're not gonna kill a human being Dean. We do that we're no better than he is." Sam snaps back at Dean raising his voice a little.

"Okay, so we can't kill Roy we can't kill Death. Any bright ideas college boy?"Dean asks sarcastically.

Jade loudly shuts a wood box with carvings on it in her hand that holds her tarot cards grabbing her brother's attention away from their argument straight to her.

"Roy is probably using some kind of black spell on the reaper so we got to figure out what it is and break it." Jade says as she walks over to her back and puts her box of tarot cards back in her back with both her dad's and mother's journals.
