Chapter 1 - Moved in

A/N: Read the description to get a good idea of what's happening. Or don't and be lost the whole story. Also Sorry for my grammar. Haven't slept for like three days but I need to get this done then I'll sleep SO much better knowing I got this off my shoulders. I am depending on Grammarly to save me.

Jack Manifold's POV:

The truck with all of my stuff finally comes to a stop, me stopping behind the truck since I was driving in my car behind it. The movers got out of the truck and approached my window. A guy leaned over my car a bit as I put my window down.

"Nice place you got. We'll unload everything for you, sir, this is a beautiful place, why don't you relax and explore the city." The mover said to me kindly

"Ehm- That sounds like a good idea- Thank you for your service," I said as if I was praising some veterans.

"Uh- Sure, fella." The mover shrugged it off and went back to the truck to start unloading with the others. The guy just really had to sneak in the 'fella'.

I sat in the car for a second a bit embarrassed and in regret. I had felt I already ruined my reputation in the city. A bit dramatic much.

I got out of my car and walked around for a while. I did get a few looks as if I 'shouldn't be there' or I 'don't belong there' which I understand because I always stick out like a sore thumb. Always have and always will.

A few hours pass of me exploring so I decided to head back to my place in hope everything would be unloaded. As expected, They were sitting on their asses. Those guys get paid too much to sit there. It's funny to think about it because I bet they think the total opposite. It's more like they 'don't get paid enough'.

I scoffed and shook my head a bit.

Suddenly, I feel a drop of something wet on my shoulder. I turn around to be greeted by a....Whopper...?

The Whopper clung onto my hand and firmly shook it.

"Damn...he's strong," I said in thought to myself.

The Whoppers handshake was firm and warm.
