The young Denet wandered aimlessly in the forest. He had just been banished from his clan. He was young. Naive. Without any training whatsoever.

He had been walking for three days without any food or rest and just little sips of water from the stream he was following.

His green eyes glowed bright in the dark. He needed to rest. He looked around and saw a pile of shrubs.

He walked over and crashed on it. He fell asleep before his head hit the floor and was oblivious to the spike of thorns that the shrubs had shot out in angry response

"Argh! It all sucks..... This life just sucks"

Maddox had cultured this bad habit of talking to himself.

His people called him mad. He was tired of them and their superstitious beliefs. That was the reason he was leaving them.

He had a bad feeling about the nearest future. But of course, no one believed him.

"Hey man! You leaving yet?" His brother called out

His brother, Islev was the only one that knew his brother wasn't mad. Maybe they shared a special connection because they're twins... Who knows?

Since their father died during the great wars, they had been for each other.

"No.... Not yet, but soon"

"OK, Let me know when you leave"

Hmph!

Finally he was set to go

His jorl was sharpened and cleaned, it was a weapon that was just like a mallet, except it had a pointed sharp edge on one side... And a flat, smooth surface on another side

He had a bottle of some combination his brother had put together for him

A leather rope, attached to his belt.

"I'm off!!..." He called out

"Wait up.." Islev called out, while approaching him "when d'you think you'll be back?"

"I don't know yet... Probably when i find others with the same mindset as mine"

Islev nodded. His eye watered a bit. But they didn't hug or shake hands or do anything.

Just looked at each other with great understanding and nodded.

Maddox started out. One being against God knows what.

He didn't tell anyone about the dreams he'd been having. He was sure no one except his brother would even care that he has gone.

He felt it. A change in the atmosphere. He was sure no one else felt that little electric buzz in the air.

He looked around the street, searching for anything suspicious or out of place. He found none.

Waking towards a Quick - e - mart alley,  He glanced left and right and then ducked into it. He saw skimpy, a black alleyway cat which was also his friend. A banana peel. Some trash. And the stronger, denser atmosphere.

Suddenly, a boy that looked almost human dropped from a wall. A real solid wall, with just a small yellow hue to it's color.

At first glance, this creature looked human. But Mike knew better.

Being an alien experiment himself, he knew how to identify them.

The creature was unconscious, and Mike couldn't just leave him there

"Hey!! Mum... Over there..." He whispered and gestured his passing mum over.

She immediately saw what was going on.

"Where did you find him?"

"He fell from the wall." When he saw she was dumbfounded, he added " he's not Human"

"Ohh......"

"He must have created some sort of portal from his world over here.... And this might be his first time, since he's unconscious"

"Wait here, I'll bring my car over.... We're taking him home."

Mike Preston, An 18-yr old kid. From an alien experiment. Originally from Ceres. He's also called the Ceres cub... Although, technically he's an adult.

The experiment involved the core of a couple of stars. The death of Stars brought the birth of him.

He was immensely powerful to say the least.

On getting home and examining the creature, he came to the conclusion that this was an Xeran. Except only special Xerans could create a portal that linked two different worlds.

Weird...

Getting bored from waiting from the Xeran to wake up, Mike noticed a bee perching on a flower just outside his window.

Suddenly, the bee stopped moving. It's wings just remained still. So did the cars outside too.

The Xeran sat up and looked at Mike who was looking at him too.
