Messiah-

"I meet mommy tomorrow?" I sighed as Delilah asked that question for the tenth time.

"Yes, D. I have to call her,"

She clapped her hands satisfied with the answer that I have already given her ten times.

I pulled up at her daycare and parked in the parking lot, Delilah immediately started to frown. I sighed knowing she was about to cry. She loved coming here she just hates when I leave.

"Daddy I don't want you to leave,"

I got out the car going to the back doors to her car seat. "I have to, D. I gotta do stuff."

"You can do it here." She started crying, crossing her arms.

"D, when I come pick you up we can get ice cream."

I wiped her tears before unfastening her seatbelt to her car seat.

"With, J?" She was trying to control her breathing with her occasional sniffs and huffs.

I sucked my teeth. She always wanna do something with Justus and if she can't come she'll ask for Devonte even though she barley like the dude.

"I'll see."

That was enough to get her to stop crying. I got her out the car grabbing her book bag from the other side. I grabbed her hand as we walked to doors.

I walked her in the school as her teacher greeted me.

"She's never wants you to go," her teacher chuckled.

"Yeah she just likes to be with me." I awkwardly smiled.

"When you come to pick her up can I talk to you for a second regarding, Delilah?"

"I have time now." I offered.

She shook her head no.

"I prefer when she is picked up."

"Okay."

I gave her a friendly type wave before walking back to my car. I pulled out the parking lot driving to Mayla's house. Picking up my phone I decided to call her to make sure that she's actually there.

She picked up on the first ring.

"Messiah? I thought you were mad at me, thank God,"

I am mad.

"You home?"

"Yeah I'm here, why you need something?"

"Where Shana at?" I turned the corner, now on her street.

"Uhm, in the shower, I think, why?"

"I wanna talk to her, open the door real quick." She immediately hung up the phone.

Throwing my phone to the passenger seat I got out the car walking to the front door. Mayla was standing there out of breath. What is she running to the door for? I pushed passed her walking in the house.

She sucked her teeth. "Where is Delilah?"

"School."

She shut and locked the door making her way to the living room. "Why didn't you bring her Messiah? Shana wants to see her daughter."

"Because she had school."

"You're being petty Messiah, you be keeping her out on other occasions. And it's daycare she doesn't HAVE to be there every single day."

I brushed off her comments.

"Okay Mayla. Can you go get Shana."

"She should be in the blue guest bedroom."
