Messiah-

I pulled into my driveway I just got home from dropping Delilah off at daycare. It's been a couple days since Justus and I went on that date. I didn't expect for him to give me a chance but I still gave him the choice.

I saw Mayla's car and another car that I didn't recognize parked on the street. Why is she at my house so early and I thought she had work today.  I mentally sighed not wanting to be bothered right now.

I walked in my house taking my shoes off, hanging my keys up on the wall. I threw away the food that Delilah refused to eat, away in the kitchen. I heard hushed voices coming from the living room. So I decided to go in.

I froze at the living room doorway seeing Mayla sitting on my couch with Shana. When they noticed me they instantly stopped talking.

Shana let out a big smile. "I missed you, love." I scrunched my face up at her calling me 'love' my attention went to Mayla as she had a guilty face.

Shana stood up from the couch making her way up to me trying to go in for a hug. I lightly pushed her away shaking my head in a no motion.

"Get out of my house," I mumbled turning to walk away. I felt my arm being grabbed as I snatched my hand away. I looked over to see Mayla. "Just hear her out, Messiah."

"No."

"Please, love. I just want to see my daughter," Shana said with watery eyes.

I don't give two shits.

"I said no."

"Messiah,"

"No,"

"Messiah at least let me talk to you in your room," Mayla said tugging on my arm.

"Mayla not now," I rubbed my free hand down my face.

"It's okay, Mayla. I get it." Shana said whipping her eyes.

Then leave.

I snatched my hand from Mayla one last time before walking off to my room.

"Lock the door on your way out."

Making my way to my room I closed my door laying on my bed. I don't understand why Mayla would bring her here without my permission in the first place. I heard the from door slam shut.

And I don't understand why Mayla is taking her side either. After everything Shana's done. Yes once they were friends and I may be selfish for keeping Delilah from Shana, but I'm doing the same thing she did too me.

My phone ringing brought me out of my thoughts. Looking at the caller ID my heart starts to flutter. It was Justus.

"Hello?"

"I- uhm, uh pops said can you come into work today because he needs you and uh- if you have to you can bring Lilah."

Oh that's all he called for. I mentally sighed wanting to say no. I finally had a day off and I have to clear my mind with all this Shana mess going on.

"Ask him if I can leave early because I have to get Delilah from daycare."

I heard shuffling and mumbling on the other side of the phone.

"He said you can leave at four-thirty."

That's good enough. I had to pick Delilah up by five.

I was about to hang up before Justus started talking again.

"Uhm-,"
