When Danny finally woke up, light was streaming in through Noel's parshaly open blinds and slowly illuminating the bed he lay in. He imagined he looked very ethereal there, eyeliner probably staining his cheeks, but glowing in the sunlight. Sparkling even. He sighed as the events of the last night began flooding back to him. Stupid Drew. Stupid Edward. Stupid prank. Maybe Drew was in on it and everything. He felt a single tear slide down his cheek as he reached for the wound on his neck. It still hurt all the time even though he took ibuprophen every few hours. How was this funny to anyone? He wiped his face with Noel's sheets and stared at the makeup stain he left. Noel wouldn't care, there were probably skid marks from him and Cody somewhere too. But he wasn't about to cry today. No. He would be strong. He had to be.
He checked his watch as he took a long hit from his juul. The tangy mango vapor tasted so refreshing in the morning. He probably wouldn't even have to brush his teeth! But he would anyway. It was 3 pm, so most of the guests were probably gone at this point. It would probably just be the gang left. Hopefully not Edward. If he had to see Edward this morning he didn't know if he would be able to keep it together.
But the sweet nicotine eased his mind and he rolled out of bed, making his way toward the mirror on the door. He looked older than he had yesterday, and paler too. He should probably get out more. Despite the pain, his bite looked pretty cool. If they left permanant scars that would be pretty badass, but he also wasn't sure if that was something he wanted. They were also kind of embarrassing, but only if you knew what happened. It also probably looked kind of cringy, like he was trying to look like a vampire or something. He thought back to Kurtis' tissue last night and quickly shook it away. He probably shouldn't get the stoned again. His eyes were slightly red and puffy, and he opened the door and went to the bathroom to splash cold water on his face. He could hear voices downstairs and immediately recognized them as Drew, Kurtis, Cody, and Noel. He listened carefully for Edward. No Edward. Good.
He took a deep breath and sauntered downstairs, trying his best to look as "I woke up looking this badass yet nonchalant" as humanly possible. It seemed to work because Drew wouldn't take his eyes off of him. He supressed a smile.
"Whadup sleeping beauty!" Noel called from the cushy couch. He had an arm draped around Cody, who was playing fortnite with Kurtis on the massive TV screen. Drew was sipping from his waterbottle, watching.
"I'm fucking exhausted man," Danny said with a laugh, and then glancing quickly at Drew said, "I think I mighta fucked someone last night."
Noel wolf whistled and Cody clapped his hands, saying "Glad you got your dick wet!"
He glanced back over at Drew, who had raised his eyebrows. When he saw Danny looking he quickly looked down at his lap. Kurtis was focused on the game, but let out a chuckle.
"Sure you did," He mumbled.
Danny scoffed in mock offense. "I did too! Like you have any right to speak on the matter!"
Kurtis looked up at Danny, his eyebrows raised. "You don't know what I get up to," He grinned.
The boys shared an "Ohhhh!" and Danny rolled his eyes, flopping down on the couch beside cody. He ran a hand through his hair and glanced up at Drew. He was looking, but he looked away. Danny blushed.
"Lets go to hooters." Noel announced suddenly.
"Yeah?" Cody said with a smile.
"Yeah, if Danny of all people got some action last night I want some too."
"I'm sure you got plenty of action last night," Drew said with a scoff.
Danny involuntarily shot him a look, to which Drews' eyes flickered with something like fear or confusion.
