4: Save The She-Ra

Catra's POV

Her eyes were a toxic waste green, no pupils just green. "Adora! You're coming home with me," I say, trying to run to Adora but two clones hold me back. "But I am already home," Adora says, emotionless. Adora walks over to Horde Prime and bows. 

"I have made her new, she is reborn, I saw her mind, she feels for you, Catra. She hoped you would come with her," Prime says, holding out his hand for Adora to take, which she does. "Adora! You have to fight it!" I yell.

 "My place is Horde Prime. I do not want to leave, Catra," Adora says. "Tell her what I have done for you," Prime pushes. 

Adora walks over to me. "Prime has given me peace, you broke my heart when you didn't come with me. But he has filled that gap, I do not need you," Adora finishes. 

"Adora, this isn't you." I say. "You could be happy here, Catra, just like me." Adora places her hand on my shoulder, close to my neck. "Let her go," I say through gritted teeth. 

Prime walks over to Adora and I and Adora drops her hand. He places his hand on Adora's shoulder and she gasps and I look at her, seeing her piercing blue eyes instead of the toxic colored ones. "You used to talk about ruling the world together, up on that little spot on the roof that only you knew about. Then she left, she didn't want to, but when she asked for you to join her, you said no. You always wanted more, but Adora only wanted you," Prime says.

I was silent for a second then I looked over at Adora. It was only for a moment, but I see a tear coming out of Adora's eye, then her eyes are back to the green ones from before.

"You underestimated, Catra. I know all, I see all. So, you will give me what I want. And I'll give you what you want," Prime says, keeping his hand on Adora's shoulder. "Never," I say. "Very well." Prime drops his hand from Adora's shoulder and starts to walk out. "You two have some catching up to do, I'll leave you to it." 

Prime leaves and I look at Adora. "Adora, I know you're in there, I saw it," I say. "Oh, Catra. I'm here. But I'm not the Adora you knew."

Adora moved so quick I barely had time to react. Adora punched me and was getting ready to kick me. "Adora! This isn't you, wake up!" I grabbed Adora's foot just before she kicked me and she pulled her foot down, bringing me with it.

"I don't want to hurt you, Adora." I say. "You already have," Adora responds. I grab Adora's wrist and put it behind her back. I hear her bones crunching and I feel a pain in my leg. I look down to see Adora cutting me with a knife. 

She kicks me and I let go of her wrists. "Oh, Catra. You know you can't win this." This time when she talks, her voices are intertwined with Horde Prime's. "Adora, this isn't you. He's controlling you," I say. "This is me, this is who I really am," Adora says, her voice normal once again.

I have to hurt her in order to get her back to normal. This time when Adora comes running at me, I punch her sending her to the edge of the platform. "No!" I scream. Adora looks behind her and smirks. She leans back, about to fall off but I rush forward and catch her.

"It's okay, I got you," I say. "Wow, you are weak, Catra," I hear Adora say. Adora starts cutting my back with the knife and I shove her off of me, into the chair which hits the back of her neck and she just sits there for a moment. 

When she finally gets up, she smirks and comes closer. "Catra-" Adora gets cut off by electricity buzzing in the back of her neck. "Adora!" I yell, running over to her. She looks at me for a second and I see blue, not green, then they turn back.

Adora punches me and I scramble backwards, on the edge of the platform as Adora was a few minutes before. "Bye bye, Catra," Adora says while walking over to me. 

Just before she pushes me, I punch her sending her flying back into a wall, the back of her neck hitting the wall. "Catra..." She says as she looks at me. "Why... did you come back?" She asks, trying to fight off the chip. "I couldn't leave you, Adora," I respond. Adora screams as the chip takes over her once again. 

Adora backs up and I follow her. "You really care about Adora, don't you?" Prime asks, controlling Adora. I didn't even realize Prime was forcing her to back up against the edge. "I'll leave you two to continue, don't let your princess fall," Prime says while letting Adora go. "Adora, don't do it," I say. "I- I can't-" Adora fails to speak, the chip trying to take over. "Adora, come with me, everything will be fine." I say, holding my hand out for her to take. "Promise?" Adora asks. "I promise," I respond.

Adora starts reaching for my hand, but recoils when another burst of electricity comes from the chip, knocking her out. 

"ADORA! NO!" I run to Adora, but I was to late. 

Adora fell into the bottomless void of Horde Prime's ship.
