Reina's P.O.V
It was 7 at night the next night and my face was bruised. I laid on my bed in my room alone, the only light was coming from the moon since I had left my balcony doors open. I could literally smell the ocean and it calmed me.
I started to drift off to sleep until I felt someone watching me. (Yes that's possible). I opened my eyes and almost let out a scream before the person covered my mouth and straddled me.
I began to writhe underneath their grasp, but they held down my arms with theirs and had me pinned against the bed. "Shh, it's just me" I heard a familiar voice say, as the stranger released me, still staying on top of me.
"Nate you're an aššhole!" I whispered while grabbing his face and pulling him towards me. I gave him a kiss and I felt him smile. "Let's do something" he said while standing up.
"Like what?" I questioned while sitting up in bed. "Let's sit on the roof and howl at the moon, like the wild animals we are" I heard him chuckle.
Without another word he walked out onto my balcony and disappeared. I frowned and got up, grabbing my glasses so I could see, since I didn't have my contacts on. I walked to my balcony and looked around, seeing nothing but the backyard. I felt a wad of paper hit me on the head.
"Ow, what the-?" I whispered before looking up and saw Nate smiling. "How'd you get up there?" I asked.
Nate pointed to the side of the house, and I saw a vine lattice that led to the roof. I grinned and began climbing it until I sat next to Nate on the roof.
He was quiet just looking at the ocean ahead of us. "Isn't it-" Nate said before he stopped talking to look at me. "What?" I whispered, looking at him confused.
"I didn't know you had glasses?" He said while grabbing my hand. "Oh yeah" I said quietly while looking at the moon.
"You look more beautiful than the moon and the stars." He whispered.
I smiled and scooted closer to him, leaning against his body. He wrapped his arms around me and we stayed like that for what felt like seconds before we saw the sun rise.
"Have we really been out for that long?" He asked me while kissing my neck. I laughed and just shook my head, acknowledging how beautiful our surrounding was.
"I know this is probably really fast, but I- I think I'm falling in love with you"
Nate said while he caressed my face.
I sat up and turned around to look him in the face. I opened my mouth to speak but he put his hand over my mouth and shook his head. "No I just want you to listen" he continued. I shook my head and laid down on his lap. "I want you as much as the sun wants to shine, the rain wants to fall and the moon wants to change. You're the closet to heaven I'll ever get. I know just how heavy the words "I'm in love with you" are and I didn't unload them onto you because I wanted to hear you say it back, i unloaded them because it was too much to keep carrying inside of me. It was too much to keep hiding that feeling between my bones and inside of my heart. I am in love with you, and I know those words have been thrown around for centuries and written down an endless amount of times and translated into so many different languages but I am in love with you. And I know forever is a lot to promise someone, and it's not guaranteed but I want to spend my forever with you. I don't know what's gonna happen in the future but right now, I want you to know I want to be with you forever, however long that is. I look into your eyes and I can already see my future. I taste years and years of happiness on your tongue. I feel a life worth living when I'm touching your skin."
He finished with a soft sigh, and closed his eyes, feeling content with himself. I reached my hand up to touch his face and his eyes opened again, this time looking at me. "I love you Nate. And I'm sorry I'm not deep and poetic like you to make this moment special because honestly you've made me the happiest person, but I want you to know that I'll do whatever I can to make this love last. We'll be modern day Romeo and Juliet." I said with a laugh
He smiled and I sat up, scooting closer to him to give him a kiss. He took a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to me. I opened it and saw a quote he had written. "I loved you as Icarus loved the sun, too close, too much."
I smiled for the 10030382992 time that night/day because the sun had already risen. "You should head back to your room, Jack will probably be checking on you." Nate said while playing with my hair.
I sighed and kissed him on the neck. I slowly got up and looked at him. "are you coming with me?" I asked.
"No, sorry. I gotta few errands to run, but I'll be back later?" He said while getting up.
"So uhm," I said while looking down. "what are we?" I asked.
I heard him chuckle and he walked up to me and gave me a kiss on the forehead. "I'm gonna take you on a date, and we'll talk about it then." He said before going down the same way we had gone up.
I stood on the roof for about 5 more minutes before climbing back down onto my balcony. I saw Nate's car was gone and sighed. He wasn't even gone for 10 minutes and I already missed him like crazy. I walked back into my room and saw Jack on my bed.
"Had fun?"
