Reina's POV

I grabbed an apple off of the kitchen counter and bit into it. The first taste of real food I've had this entire day. Baby mason was born a few hours ago and Jack and Madison are still at the hospital. The wind whistled through the open windows and I swore I heard it say "Reina".

A shiver ran through my body as I realized the voice. Nate.

I walked to the window and closed it fast. Why does it seem like no one is ever in this  house?  A knock on the front door interrupted me from my thoughts.

I swung the front door open quickly.

"Jack, when the fu-"

I stared blankly at the person who had knocked.

"I-I thought you were dead. I saw you die" I said as I backed away from the man in front of me.

"Reina I can explain" Nate said as he slowly walked in, closing the door behind him.

I stood frozen where I was standing, not believing what I was seeing. I saw his blood on my clothes when he was shot. I was at his funeral.

"Go upstairs, quietly. Start packing anything and everything you need. Do it fast." He whispered, looking around.

"I'm not going anywhere with you." I spat.

"Listen to me Reina, you'll understand where I'm coming from once we're in the car, going far away from here." He said stepping close enough to put his hand on my cheek. "Please just trust me."

I nodded and ran upstairs, packing my clothes and other necessities into the duffel bag I hadn't touched since I last saw Nate. I tiptoed past the theatre room where I knew all the girls were.

As I walked down the stairs, I saw Nate waiting for me. He looked tired and scared but determined. He opened the front door and smiled as I walked out.

I heard the door quietly shut and walked up to Nate's jeep, sitting in the passenger side. I threw my duffel bag in the back and buckled up.

He got into the drivers side and turned the ignition on.

"Wait," I said putting my hand on his, "explain this to me."

"Things aren't what they seem to be Reina. I lied to you a bunch of times but I never lied about loving you. And I plan to make it up to you by telling you everything I know but not here."

We drove in silence for what seemed like hours until we reached a road that separated off the main one we'd been driving on. It led up a mountain and into a small cave.

Nate parked the car and took the keys out of the ignition.

"Come on" he said and grabbed my duffel bag before hopping out of the car.

I couldn't see shit. It was pitch black. A light from a flashlight was pointed at me and I couldn't see who was holding it.

"Give me your hand." Nate said.

We walked hand in hand to what seemed like a
dead end. He put his hand up to a certain area of the rock in front of us and a door opened.

We stepped inside and again we were surrounded by darkness. Nate closed the door behind us and I heard some beeping coming from a keypad. A dim light turned on and I realized we were in some kind of hallway made out of stone.

Nate started walking quicker now until he reached another door. Unlocking it again with his hand, it opened up to a dock. A small boat was parked in one of the openings with the name 'Reina' painted on the side in bold red letters.
