Too Good

Chapter 8

3 weeks later
Drake's P.O.V.

Over the past three weeks Aaliyah and I have gone on 8  more dates. I really can't get enough of her. The more time I spend with her the deeper I fall for her. We've spent several days back and forth from each other's homes and bonded with each other and our kids. Adonis and Imani are super close now. The billboard awards are in four days, and at first I planned to just go with my family and best friends/ brothers, but now I'm going to invite Aaliyah and Imani.

I'm on my way with Adonis to have dinner with both Aaliyah and Imani right now. Over the past two weeks Adonis and Aaliyah have also gotten close. At first Adonis was hesitant, like he is with any woman that isn't his mother. However, after about half an hour she grew on him and now they are inseparable.

Once we got to the restaurant I got Adonis out of the car and walked with him and security to the private room that I reserved for us all.

"Liyah!!" Adonis screamed as soon as he saw Aaliyah.

"Hey cutie!" She exclaimed, and bent down to pull him into a hug as he ran straight towards her.

"Imani! What's good my boy?" I asked.

"I'm good man."

"Hey baby."

I went up to Aaliyah and pulled her into a hug and kissed her lips. When we pulled away we saw Imani and Adonis looking as us making grossed out faces.

"Come on Don let's go sit down." Imani grabbed Adonis' hand and walked him to the table.

I love the bond that they are building together. At first Adonis looked at Imani as his favourite basketball player, but now he's really starting to see him as like an older brother. That makes Aaliyah and I so happy because our kids are our top priority and we just want them to be happy and comfortable.

"I have something important to ask you but I'm hungry so let's eat first."

"Liyah come sit next to me!" Adonis said with a big smile on his face.

"I'm coming to sit right next to you Don!" Aaliyah smiled back at him.

Their relationship made me so happy. I haven't told Sophie, Adonis's mother, about my relationship with Aaliyah yet. That is only because I don't want her in my business or telling people about my private life. I know eventually I have to tell her but I'm just going to wait until Adonis's and I go back to Toronto.

"Babe Imani and I are going to have to go back to New York by next week. I have meetings I need to go to in person, and Imani's graduation is next week."  Aaliyah said.

"Damn, we really gotta figure out this long distance situation 'cause that isn't gonna work." I held her hand from across the table.

"The flight from NYC to Toronto is only like 30 minutes. Just think of it like we live on the other side of the city babe it'll be fine."

"I guess but I'm still going to miss you."

"We'll be fine I'll fly out all the time and I know you'll fly out all the time too."

"Yo drake you coming to my graduation?"

"Of course kid! I can't miss out on that!" I told him.

"Aiight cool."

"Daddy have to pee!" Adonis said.

"Alright let's go." I said getting up from the table.

"No I want liyah to take me."

"She can't, you have to go the boys bathroom and liyah is a girl."

"Baby I raised a boy all on my own, I can handle this. Let's go Don!" She said getting up and grabbing Adonis's hand and leaving our private room.
