Four Months Later
Imani's P.O.V.The last four months have been great for me. The NBA closed their investigation on my draft selection and my career has been going smoothly ever since. I played in summer league over the summer and the regular season started about a month ago.The team has been doing really well, we've won nearly every game so far.
I've been in contact somewhat with Aubrey since we went to dinner that night, but I haven't told my mom. I just don't think she wants to talk about him, so I never brought it up. He hasn't been taking their breakup well.
He's been drinking a lot more than I've ever seen him drink. Everybody is starting to get concerned. It was okay for the first few weeks of the break up but now it's going on months and it doesn't look like he's letting up anytime soon.
I have practice today, but later tonight my mom and Alyssa are coming into town to see one of my games. I got them seats in the private box. This is the first home game they're coming to see so I'm excited.

Aubrey's P.O.V."Ugh" I groan as the sunlight peeking through my window aggravates my now regular hangover.
I look next to me and see some stripper bitch in my bed who's name I couldn't even tell you.
I tapped her to wake her up. "Yo, you gotta go." I told her.
She got up and started leaving. Adonis was coming over for the day for his basketball lesson while his mom runs errands. I know I'm a mess right now but I'm still trying to be the best dad I can be.
The girl was gone and now I'm on a mission to cure this hangover so I can function around my son today.
My life has gone to shit without Liyah. I've been drinking way too much, it's becoming a problem. I've been sleeping with so many random women I'm surprised it's not on TMZ. I'm just desperately trying to fill the void that she left in my life and nothing seems to be able to do that.
Regardless of my relationship with her I need to get it together because it's affecting other areas of my life.
I go downstairs and see Chubbs, 40, and Adel sitting at my kitchen island. Fuck, it's an intervention.
"Don't start, I know I've been fucked up lately. We really ain't gotta do all this." I told them.
"No man! You're not good. The album is nowhere close to finished and you haven't been in the studio since your breakup. This isn't you." 40 said.
I just looked down and heard them out.
"We're only saying these things because we care about you. We've been your boys since day one, don't you ever forget it. We'll always look out for you." Adel said.
"I get it guys and I'm gonna stop from now on. No more drinking excessively, no more random women. If I ever want Aaliyah back, I need to get myself together." I said.
"That's all we wanted to hear bro. We're taking you out to eat tonight so get ready when Adonis leaves." Chubbs said.

Aaliyah's P.O.V."Come on, you're not helping! What's an outfit that says 'I'm hot and my son is on the team'? I have to finish packing within the next 20 minutes or I'm going to be late." I told Donovan.
We've been hanging out a lot since we met at the club that night. We're more friends than anything these days. Although, a few weeks after we met we did sleep together, but that was a one night thing and never happened again after that.Sometimes there is sexual tension between us, but we have never acted on it other than that one time.
