"Are you his guardian?" One of the nurses asked me.
"No". I simply replied.
"The patient will need another-"
"Hey, hey, hey... I just told you I'm not his guardian. I'm just a good Samaritan". I told her as I turned to leave.
"Then, do you know anybody we co-"
"What part of ' I'm a good Samaritan ' don't you understand?!!!" I almost yelled at her.
"I'm so sorry, ma'am". She said and walked away.
I stomped out of the hospital and walked to where my car was which was a little far from here but it was a trekkable distance.
Thanks to his phone, I could call the ambulance to come pick us up. I tried applying the little first aid I knew, which was stop the blood from flowing. I removed his blood dyed white coat and used it to compress the wounded part of his body. Shortly before the ambulance came, I took a peeked at the wound. It was round and from the look I could tell that it was from a gunshot. He was unconscious and his body was getting colder. I attempted dragging him into my car where the heater was on but the ambulance came and it wasn't needed to do so anymore.
Now that he was in the hospital, I walked down in my heels that same night to where my car was with the help of the GPS and drove home. On getting home, Nanny, Mary and the rest of the maids were waiting for me at the gate with my brother standing in the middle.
I looked at my clock and saw that it was 2:04 am. Honestly, I was tired and stressed and wasn't ready for anyone's nagging but I knew I would be nagged nevertheless.
I honked the horn of the car and they all parted into two, opening the gates for me to drive in.
As soon as I drove in, I got out from the car and ran into Nanny and my brother who were waiting for me. They both looked worried but my brother looked more angry than worried.
I didn't even bother saying anything. I didn't have the strength to talk, so I just signalled to two of the maids to come over and get my things from the car which were only my school bag and my project bag. I removed my heels and was about to walk inside with my bare feet when I heard him say "Eleanora, do you mind explaining why you're back home at this time?!!" The tone of his voice was angry and in a way got me angry.
I don't know why, but anytime Green used the angry tone on me, it just gets me more angry than I originally should be.
Green, my Elder brother, just returned from America. He had exactly my hair and eye color but a little taller than I was. He was Grandpa's favourite grandson and all my cousins envied him.
He was like a father to me although he was a little too strict. He has also been very protective of me. He travelled two years ago to America to complete his studies. Even though I don't know why he came back so unexpectedly, I do know that Green never shows up without a reason. It's just that the timing of his return could never be so wrong. Now he's gonna nag me to death and like I said before, the least person I need now is a nag.
Walking out on him when the maids were around could make him feel insulted, so I stopped and looked at him. My feet were two inches away from him.
"You're all dismissed!" I ordered the maids.
"Yes, your highness". They chorused and walked away.
The rain had stopped falling heavily. It was drizzling. Nanny held a big umbrella over our heads.
