"Your highness! Your highness!! Your highness!!!" Mary called urgently as she ran to my side. I dropped the watering can on the stool beside me and looked at her.

"What happened?". I asked as I sat down on the swing in my balcony. My balcony was quite large. Large enough to hold a banquet.

"Your highness, Duchess Leila is furious because of the state of her daughter". She reported.

"What is the state of her daughter?" I asked her.

"Her highness, Annabella is having a really high fever and her face is red from the hits she collected from those two maids. Duchess Leila caught those two girls hitting her daughter. She wants to have them burned to death". She reported.

I sighed and took the wine goblet that was beside me and took a really large gulp. It has been a long time since I drank wine, maybe because of the situations arising. But now, I feel more relaxed than I was supposed to.

"Your highness!" Mary called again, her voice sounding more urgent.

"What is it, Mary? ... Why are you sounding so worried?... It's annoying"

"I'm sorry for being a bother, your highness but those two girls were unreliable and revealed that you were the one who instigated them to do what they did. Duchess Leila is so furious, she's matching up here with Nanny by her side". Mary reported.

"So?... What should I do?... Go and hide?" I asked her.

"Your highness! I..." She trailed off.

"If they're coming for me, let them come. I'll be waiting". I told her, before standing up from the swing.

No sooner had I said that, did my door burst open.

"ELEANORA ANDREW! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?...GET OUT RIGHT NOW!" I heard her yell. My room was quite large and it may take a while before she finds me.

I didn't move and inch from where I was standing. As I had thought, It took her a while to stomp up to me.

"Good evening, Duchess Leila" I greeted the normal way I should.

"WHAT IS GOOD ABOUT THIS EVENING?!!!" She yelled angrily.

"Mary, go and get tea for Aunty Leila. She needs to calm down". I ordered her.

"I don't need your useless empathy". She spat at me.

"Fine, if you say so". I replied, then I took a sip from the wine beside me.

"You are here, drinking wine, while my daughter is on her way to the emergency unit. You witch, you know perfectly well that she's my only child and yet you're still behaving so arrogant. DO YOU THINK I CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU?"  She spat at me.

I kept silent and took another sip of the wine. Frustrated and infuriated, she snatched the glass from me and smashed it to the ground.

"There's a saying 'one cannot see his true reflection in a boiling water'. If you want me to talk, Aunt Leila, you need to calm down". I said as calmly as I could.

"Repeat what you said Downstairs!". She ordered the maids she dragged up to my room.

"Your... Your... Your highness... We were asked to hit her highness Annabelle's face. The princess promised to pay us three hundred thousand dollars each if we did the work well". Said Sarah.

"Your highness, there must be a misunderstanding somewhere. I didn't raise Nora to be that thoughtless and rude". Nanny said, as she tried to plead on my behalf.
