"The same thing. It's the same thing over and over again". I complained, allowing the phone to fall off my hand.  Another morning spoilt for me.

It's been a full week now since Dure picked my call. I've left so many voice messages and so many texts but he hasn't replied any of them. I was starting to get worried.

Although, the week has been fun with my friends around. In fact, I could say we literally bonded. Playing different games that Olive invented and some Lilou brought from Paris, watching movies together, while Tashie and Olive made us snacks. Sometimes, playing hide and seek. I barely remember the last time I had played this hard.

Now, today was another day and I can't wait to see the game Lilou will bring this time. It was a good way of taking my mind off Dure even though deep down, I'm worried that something bad might have happened to him.

I walked straight into the bathroom and had a hot bath, to cool down a little. When I was done, I dressed casually and walked out the door.

On coming out of the room, I saw balloons everywhere and different ribbons with decorations everywhere. I was confused as to why they were all here. This weren't Christmas decorations.

I looked around and saw no one at all.

What's going on? Why's everywhere so quiet all of a sudden?

"Hello?" I called but the only thing I could hear was the echo of my voice. I walked out into the cold and looked around.

"Hello?" I called out but found nobody.

"Mary?" I called again, no answer.

"Lilou?" Still no answer.

What's going on? I thought as I felt fear touching me little by little.

I walked to the boy's Villa to see if there was anyone there.

"Olive?" I called, no answer.

"Phillips?" Still No answer. Nobody was here.

Is this a dream? How can this place be empty overnight?

I ran out of the Villa and ran into the snow, as reality started sinking it little by little to the extent I couldn't resist it anymore.

I was the only one here!

I ran to the gates of the Villa but it was closed. There were no guards at the door post.

  Everywhere was so silent.

"HELLO?" I yelled but the echo was the only answer I got.

My heart started beating faster than usual. Suddenly, my breathing rate increased drastically and the cold embraced me tightly.

Could they be in the mountains?

I ran faster than my legs could carry me shouting "Tina?... Olive?... Tashie?... Mary?... Phillips?... Lilou?" But there was no answer at all.

I ran up the stairs to the peak of the mountain where I collapsed at the peak and could hardly breathe.

Fear gripped me. I was closer to the gloomy sky which was scary to look at because it looked like the sky was going to let a storm out soon.

I had hardly recoverd my breathe back when I heard howling. My heartbeat became faster than it was before and at this rate, I could have an heart attack.

I ran down the mountain more scared than I was when I ran up the stairs.

I ran faster than my legs could take me, not stopping for a second.

Could they be in the video game shop we went too three days ago? It's likely they are in a nearby town.

With that thought, I ran as fast as my legs could carry me to the video game shop.

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

The shops were closed. In fact the once bubbling street was empty. I had checked round but there was no town close by.
My legs were already weary and my airway was almost frozen. I fell to the ground, tired of running.

I was torn between accepting the fact that this was reality or it was just a dream.

No, this can't be a dream. I clearly woke up and called Dure this morning.

Speaking of phone, I should at least get my phone and call someone to come pick me up. They could have gone back to the city without letting me know. I thought and gathered some strength to run back to the Villa.

No sooner had I started running that I tripped on myself and fell to the ground, bruising my hands in the process.

My body was tired of running. My legs were very weary, and my eyelids were suddenly so heavy.

No, I can't. I can't close my eyes now. What will happen to me if night meets me here?... What if wolves come at me? How will I fight it off? No, I must stay awake.

I kept telling my self not to close my eyes until all I saw was complete darkness.

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

The cold woke me up. It's tight embrace was suffocating me. All I was breathing out was cold air. I looked around me and it was getting dark. Really dark.

You can't die here, Nora. You just can't.

I thought to myself and staggered to my feet. My hair was in a complete mess and my face was almost frozen. My hands were already numb.

Even if it is to crawl back to the Villa and get someone to get me out of here it'll be far better than dying on the street of nowhere where wolves can come at anytime.

I started walking towards the Villa. I tried running but I couldn't run. My feet were numb already. I staggered and staggered. The full moon was already out.

This is the second time the full moon would scare me badly. It was the only thing lighting up the way.

If I could make it back alive, I'll never come back here again. I thought as I staggered to the Villa.

On getting to the Villa, the gates were wide opened. I tried running inside to see if there was anyone inside but my feet were pulling me back. I couldn't even croak, my voice box has been frozen.

I managed to walk into the girl's Villa and get my phone to call anybody. But all the lights were off. I was so scared of entering that I decided against it and walked out. Tears were threatening to fall out my eyes but I tried my best to hold it back and stay strong.

There will be help soon I thought and consoled myself.

Just then, I saw fireworks in the sky. It lit up the night sky and the next thing I heard was

"🎶🎵 Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, Eleanora, Happy birthday to you🎶🎵".

I turned around and saw as they walk out of the Villas. Tina, Tashie, Lilou and Mary held sparkle lights while Olive and Phillips came out of the second Villa, putting on the lights and I saw how beautifully they had decorated everywhere.

With Dure standing in front of me singing the birthday song for me. The tears I was threatening to keep in flowed out like a river. Not stopping.

"Why are you crying?" He asked which angered me so much, I hit him hard, before throwing my hands around him.

"You scared the hell out of me". I cried.

"I'm so sorry, Darling. We didn't mean to".
