Two cars pulled into a rest stop, settled in a café dinner so everyone could calm down. Brad brought drinks to the table, and Chloe questioned what just happened.
"Why did your parents send you here? Was it to keep you out of danger?"
"They just said it would be good for me to see the world before I settle for my marriage." said the trembling princess.
"They could have select any school in Europe."
"Who will benefit most seeing you hurt?" Kalani asked, Vicky shook again.
"Maybe someone knows." Kendall took out her phone and dialed.
"Kendall! I was just thinking about you!" JoJo's face popped up on screen, she was in her home clothes ready for bed. "We've visited this new car factory today. I think you'll like their prototype!"
"Thanks, but we have something to ask you."
Chloe took the phone and explained the situation. JoJo didn't seem all that surprise seeing the princess.
"Victoria!" JoJo gave her a big smile and waved. "We met at the Disney opening in Brussels. Do you remember?"
"Yes." Vicky replied awkwardly. "You made quite an impression on my parents."
"I hope they aren't still mad."
"I'm sorry, but I cannot speak on their behalf." the young princess hesitated.
"Anyway, I'll look into it and get back to you. I'm glad you're with the girls, they'll keep you safe!"
Hanging up the phone, all eyes turned to Vicky.
"What happened in Disney?"
"She... err... interrupted my father's speech."
"That's not as bad as it sounds... was it?" Brad asked.
"You don't know JoJo." Kendall and Chloe were shaking their heads.
Brad searched the incident on YouTube and found a news clip.
It took place years ago, reporting the proud opening of Disney in Brussels. During the King's speech, a private helicopter misread the royal seal as an "H", the international symbol for a helicopter pad. The powerful rotor blew everyone off their feet, and landed its wheels on the royal seal, a disrespectful gesture in general.
A little blonde girl stepped out of the helicopter, waving and smiling as if greeting her fans, not a clue what just happened.
"Yep, that's JoJo's style all right." Kendall nodded, Brad watched with his jaw dropped.
Vicky called her chauffeur and butler, they both arrived in a silver Mercedes. Mr. Boogman was an old man in his sixties, white hair and formally dressed, a typical butler in Chloe's vision. He stepped out the car with a series of concerns at Vicky, obviously not pleased with her disappearance.
"Chloe and her friend saved me." Vicky explained in English.
"I gratefully thank you for your bravery, young ladies." the old butler nodded. "But her safety is our responsibility."
"And I'm sorry for all the trouble." Chloe said in her classy manner.
"Now, if you excuse me, we have to get back home."
"Wait!" Vicky turned to Mr. Boogman. "My friends have just saved my life. I think they are entitled to their rewards."
"I will handle that, Your Highness..." the old butler reached into his pocket and took out his wallet.
"By that I meant inviting them for dinner."
"Your Highness, I don't think..."
"I insist." said the young princess.
"Very well." the old butler cleared his throat.
"Uhmm, I need to go home." Kendall feeling uneasy with all the formality.
"Are you sure? We may need you on the road." Vicky cocked her head and smiled.
"I think I did enough damage for one day!" Kendall laughed, hurried Brad away, leaving Chloe and Kalani outside the diner.
"Shall we?" Chloe turned to her bodyguard.
"I didn't assign for this!" the tall girl complained.
"Come!" Chloe took her hand. "I'll put out a good word to your boss!"
"You don't even know my boss!"
