After the whole team was sent to the hospital, all their families' were called and told about the situation. Some had nobody to call, so the nurses took it upon themselves to keep the dying team company.
The seven agents were brought to the hospital alive.
Since then, Rossi had coded, leaving six.
They weren't able to get enough blood in Morgan fast enough. Five agents left.
Garcia had stopped breathing, and they couldn't do anything to get her to start again. Four still alive.
JJ had taken a stab and died from an aneurysm just before Henry and Will could get to her. Three agents left.
The nurses were counting the dying agents off on their fingers. Out of all of the families they had called, only two of them had come. Agent Jareau's husband and son had gone to say goodbye to her before they cleaned her up and sent her to Washington to be buried. Agent Hotchner's son was being sent to him as soon as he got there, time was of the essence. If they couldn't save anyone, they could at least give one person closure.
Hotch was awake before he died, and he was the luckiest of the group. His son had crawled into the bed and layed between his arms, and whispered that 'it's okay, daddy, because you always come back home. i'm not scared.' Haley pulled Jack away from him as the nurses rushed in at the long, flat beep.
This left two living agents.
Spencer was alone in his room, the nurse had left when Hotch started flatlining. He looked around the colorless room and knew it was coming. He had always heard that you relive your whole life right before you die, and was grateful to learn that was true. He really had been loved by his team, and Emily had had nothing to worry about, as they truly had been good friends. He smiled as the memories left his mind, and his last breath left his body.
And then there was one.
