I run down the sidewalk alongside the buildings, the trains overhead roaring as they push over the tracks.

I glance over my shoulder, and see Jade running towards me, obviously struggling to catch up. Since it is so late at night, not a lot of people are rushing along the streets.

I finally get to Millennium Park and slow down as I wait for Jade to catch up.

She's panting and wheezing by the time she catches up, and I am walking at a slow stroll so she can catch her breath.

"You okay?" I ask, placing my hand at the small of her back, rubbing up and down.

"Yeah-" she wheezes in another breath, "I'm fine."

"Let's go sit down."

We find a bench somewhere along the park, and take a seat. As soon as we do, Jade's head falls onto my shoulder, and I wrap my arm around hers.

"Are you sure you're okay? You seem to still be breathing a little heavily," I say, nuzzling my nose into her temple.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine."

"As long as you're sure."

We sit there for a while in the cold air, with still crunchy leaves in the ground and no snow, even though it is November. The lights that light up the park seem to be fading, like they are foggy. I stare up at the moon, which is half covered my clouds and the buildings. I turn my head slightly to Jade, and see that she is smiling with her eyes closed, enjoying the moment.

I place a soft, slow kiss on her temple, pulling away with a soft click, trying to soothe her breathing.

She opens her eyes and looks at me, her familiar icy blue eyes staring into my foggy green ones. She brushes my dyed black hair away from my forehead and plays with it a little. She then places a soft kiss on my forehead, my eyes closing a little at the feeling.

She pulls back and looks at my eyes again.

"I like it when you do that," I remark, and nudge my face into her neck softly, breathing a little heavily then I was before, which is evident from the cloud that releases from my mouth into the cold air.

"Do what?" she asks softly, caressing the hairs on the back of my neck as I move my nose up and down her neck.

"When you kiss me," I say shyly, wrapping my arms around her waist, tugging her closer to me.

"Mmm, really?"

"Yeah." I say, kissing her neck airly and pausing, "Can that be our thing?" (If someone comments TFIOS, I s2g...)

"Sure."

"Good."

I bring her legs up onto my lap so they are laying across mine. I rest my head on her shoulder and think for a moment.

"Where are you going to work? You are probably running out of money by now," I say, just realizing this.

"I dunno, I'll find somewhere."

"I could always ask Calix if there is room, we'll probably need another person since his wife is close to giving birth," I suggest, taking my head off of her shoulder and looking her in the eyes.

"Yeah?" she says, smiling at the thought.

I hum and continue, "And I'll even try to get our schedules together so we work the same days."

"That'd be nice," she remarks, and snuggles her head into my neck.

"I'll ask him. Don't worry about anything. I'll always be there for you."
