Should I stay
Should I go
I really think it's time you let me know
Can you now find the right words to say
That maybe I'm getting in your way
It seems I've grown attached
Though we're not the perfect match
I just can't explain

"I don't understand why we need to do this." Kaz grumbled. Him, Inej, and I were walking through the streets one evening. We were off towards a store Inej wanted to take us to.
"Your role in the heist requires you to attend the celebration. Which means you need to dress accordingly." Inej explained.
"Just pick something out for us then, Inej." I suggested. I didn't want to be here either. There was only 3 days left until the heist. My leg was almost healed and so was my arm. I wanted to spend every waking moment practicing with my bow and arrow. I couldn't afford any mistakes in the heist.
"C'mon, this is fun." Inej protested, steering us into a large store.
A little bell rang as we walked through the door. "Welcome." The woman inside the store greeted us. "The men's is to the left and women's is to the right, but of course, you can roam anywhere." She informed us.
I looked around in awe at the sheer amount of fabric hung around. So many colors, so many patterns, so many styles.
"Right, Y/N, go look at some clothes, I'm going to help Kaz first." Inej pushed me off to browse on my own as she left with Kaz in another direction.
The dresses were truly exquisite. Ballgowns of every color were strung up, glittering, glimmering, and shining in the light. I picked out a red one that had lace on its sleeves. I kept on looking and finalized another emerald green one.
I had picked out 4 or 5 before Inej finally joined me. "Where's Kaz?" I asked.
"He left with his clothes, now let's look at yours." She said, focusing on the aisles.
"What? He left? I wanted to see him. I can only imagine the face he made wearing a silly outfit." I laughed to myself. "Anyways, here are some that I picked out." I showed her my choices.
"No, no, no, no, and no. Your dress has got to be navy blue." Inej told me, already picking out all the blue dresses.
"But why, I think this red would look lovely with my-"
"Nope, it's got to be navy blue." Inej interjected. I sighed, but once Inej made up her mind, it was hard to change it. With our arms full of navy blue dresses, we went over to the fitting rooms. "Try this one first." She put one dress in my hand and ushered me to the stall.
I entered the stall and closed the door behind me. The stall was pretty big with a full length mirror inside. I made sure to tuck my necklace away before I changed. It was a bit personal to me and I didn't want to answer Inej's questions about it right now. I changed into the dress, there were no sleeves, and the back was a bare. I didn't feel quite comfortable. I walked out to show it to Inej. She immediately shook her head.
"Nope, the sleeveless look isn't working. Which means you won't have to try these 3." She reduced the pile of dresses to only 4 left. I picked out another one, this one had full long sleeves. I took it inside and I tried it on. I looked at myself in the mirror and thought it looked fine. I walked out to show Inej.
"Hmm, not really feeling it..." Inej shook her head. I sighed, picking another one and going back inside to put it on. I came out again. "No, I don't like this either..." Inej said.
