Chapter Two: Broken

Chris speaking
Some people went to the hospital and some people went back to the theater. I made sure I stayed with Anthony the whole time, I just didn't want anything happening to him. He was silent the whole car ride home and he couldn't walk he seemed like he's sprained his ankle. I wanted to ask him if anything else was hurting, but he still wouldn't answer me. I just let him fall asleep on my lap. We got to the theater and I let him lay down on the couch in Lin's dressing room. We were all still shocked and crying, I stayed strong for everyone though. Well.. I did my best.

Leslie speaking
So Lin was with Chris and Anthony so I decided to stay with Phillipa and keep her company. She cried the whole ride home. She had fallen asleep once we got to the theater. So I carried her to her dressing room and put her on the couch so lay down. I made myself a cup of coffee, cuz I was not going to sleep until I found out if my friends were okay. I messaged Nicolette and told her everything that happened and she came rushing over there as soon as possible. 

Flashback

Nicolette's POV

I'm at home waiting for Leslie to call me because he said he is. It's already after 10 so I'm getting worried that something happened to him. I'm just casually watching T.V for now. My phone starts ringing. It's Leslie. Oh thank God. I was literally terrified. I answer it 

"Hey babe, how come you called me so late? I was getting worried about you."  

 "Uh Nico... umm you won't believe this." His voice breaks and I can tell he's upset. 

"Babe? What's wrong?" I say impatiently. 

" So you know that hotel we were staying at. Um it, it - I can't, j-just put on the news." he exclaimed.

 "O-ok." I put on the news.

  We are live here in Times Square, New York City where a building just collapsed, the Hilton Hotel. There were about 27 people in the building. So far two were found dead and others are hospitalized. Further information will be provided soon. Back to you Amy.

I quickly turn off the TV and break down in tears.

 "Leslie? A-are you ok?" I ask in shock. 

" I-I'm okay... I guess. But I don't know about anyone else. I'm really worried about Ant and Pippa though." He says.

 "Oh, well what's wrong with them." I ask through tears. 

"Pips can't stop crying and Ant he's just silent. And you know that is the complete opposite of the Anthony Ramos I know." He says firmly. 

"Oh gosh, okay well I'm coming over there now." I get up and get my keys. 

"Thanks my love" We hang up and I rush over there faster than lightning.

Anthony speaking

I was silent. I just couldn't formulate words, like literally, I just felt my whole world come crashing down on me. (Tears up) My best friends just- like had a whole entire building fall on them. I couldn't think of anything else, that moment just kept replaying in my head. The more I thought of it the harder it got to breathe. I felt just like I was trapped in a box and I couldn't get out. I started feeling lightheaded and weak, I just had no clue what to do. I think Lin and Chris could sense something was wrong they kept coming at me like "Yo you good, do you need anything, it's okay if your upset don't try and hide it." But what was really happening was I couldn't process what just happened. I just like put my hoodie over my head and lay down on Chris's lap and went to sleep.
