"Preston! You son of a bitch let go!" Robert yelled trying to pry Preston's hands off his throat. Robert dropped Preston only to regret it when he heard Preston's head hit the cement.
"Rob? Jason?" Preston looked up questioningly mostly at Jason. Jason flashed the stupidest smile Robert has ever seen and wanted to punch him in the face for it.
"It's okay Preston. Why don't I drove you home?" Jason said beating Robert at the offer. Preston nodded holding his head. Robert could see some blood through his hair.
As the two walked away the bell went off signaling school was over. Robert planned on just leaving but something caught his attention in a near by bush. He walked to the bush and kicked it because that's ducking normal. To his luck his foot hit something."Shit!" Someone yelled from inside the bush.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Robert asked watching a boy with an untrained mop of brown hair on his head. He wore glasses, a red t-shirt, a gray jacket, and ugly framed glasses. When he spoke Robert got a glimpse of his hello and missing teeth.
"I was. Uh.." He trailed off. Robert waved him off not caring what he was doing in a bush.
"Dude you broke my camera." He said looking down at the bush. 'Oh. That's what he was doing.' Robert realized.
"You creep." He muttered and looked at the bush seeing some shattered glass and broken plastic parts. The boy looked offended as if spying on people was normal. Well Robert couldn't complain he killed people for a living.
"So... You are?" The boy said smiling. Robert cringed knowing he'd offended the other.
"Don't smile." He replied making the other smile fall instantly.
"Well I'm Tyler." He said covering his mouth. Robert rolled his eyes and started walking away. His phone started to buzz in his pocket.
"What?" He didn't recognize the number on the screen so he obviously wasn't going to be nice to caller.
"I-is this Robert?" Jason's voice said through the phone.
"What do want?" He replied.
"Do you know anyone who is 6 feet tall has black hair and may or may not have been tracking Preston?" Robert dropped his phone at the idea that someone would have the nerve to interfere with his mission and receive his money.
"Where are you?!" He yelled when he picked up the phone. Some people made glances his way then quickly averted their gaze.
"Umm well they took p-"
"Why the fuck would you let them take him?! And how the hell did you get this number?!" Robert wanted to punch something or someone it didn't matter.
"They threw a paper at me and told me to tell you that the deals off. What does that mean?" Robert could hear the fear in Jason's voice but really couldn't care less how space boy felt.
"None of your ducking business!" He yelled ending the call. He knew what was going to happen to Preston but what did he care so much. He's killed so many people and ruined so many families that he's become a mindless killing machine.
"Fuck." He said throwing his phone at a little girl who started crying and ran to her mom.
He went straight to his boss's 'office' or what ever it was. When he got there re first thing he saw was Preston knocked out and tied to pole or he hoped Preston was just knocked out."Rob! It's great to see you! Now that your little love affair is over why don't you witness little Preston's death. Don't worry I'll make sure to make it as painful as possible." His boss said walking into the room pushing a cart with him with torture devices on it.
"This is my mission." Robert hissed. The boss snickered at his comment.
"Then would you like to do the honors? Don't even try breaking him out. You couldn't cut those ropes with a chainsaw." The boss pulled out a gun and a video camera. "I'm not usually a bad guy but you're giving me no other choice."
Robert laughed a bit and crouched next to Preston's still sleeping figure."I agree completely." Robert said.
