Chapter 22

Continue on from previous chapter

Chloe pretended not to notice the looks the class were giving Marinette and Adrien. What would happen if she was a lot nicer back then she wondered. No one but Adrien and Marinette would believe that she had changed and that was all because of Lila.

The bell rang and students rushed out of classrooms tomorrow was a public holiday, no one cared why but were thankful they could use the day to work on their project. Adrien, Marinette and Chloe had made plans at lunch earlier that day to come to the hotel and work on the project and start planning.

"Hey, can you believe that we're in a group together? How did we pull this off?" Adrien asked the group, Marinette laughed and answered with "luck or the teacher thinks Chloe won't do any work and paired us up together" she joked.

"Hey as if" Chloe exclaimed before giving Marinette a playful push, Adrien laughed at how his friends were suddenly getting along even if it was temporarily he was happy they were both of his closest friends and they were getting along for once.

They exited the school and all went separate ways Marinette was walking down the stairs when she noticed she left her folder in her locker. She Had already snuck in once just to get Adrien's phone; she didn't need to do it again.

"Hey Alya, can you wait a minute? I left my folder in my locker. Can I quickly go get" she asked.

Alya looked back and smiled at her bestie "Of course girl, no biggie" she said.

Marinette had got her folder and walked back from the lockers and was about to walk up to the steps to exit the school.

When she suddenly felt something shove her to the ground. She used her hands to stop her fall but it still hurt and bad she did fall on concrete after all.

Her hands were all scrapped and covered in specks of blood. She looked up to see who did it and saw the devil itself standing there with a smirk but that quickly faded into a scowl.

"I gave you one last chance to stay away from Adrien, but you didn't listen so now you pay the price" she said smugly before flicking her hair over her shoulder and walked off.

It's been two weeks yet again since I have updated this book. I am so sorry for keeping you all waiting, I didn't know how to continue this book and my mind went blank. I will update this book again some time this week and thank you to everyone who waited for this and the last chapter to come out. It means a lot to know you waited.
