27- Blossom- Maybe

*5 weeks later*

I'm almost certain I'm pregnant.

I've missed out on my period, my boobs are definitely bigger and yesterday I was sick. I would be happy, but we didn't plan for a baby, and I haven't been taking any folic acid which could affect my baby. I'm nervous because I don't know if Dan wants kids or not. I know in one of his YouNow's he said he wanted two or three, but I couldn't tell if he was joking or not. We've also only been dating for almost a year.

A wave of nausea washes over me. I dart out of bed and into the toilet. I vomit twice before I feel someone sweep my hair out of my face and rub my back.
"Do you, do you think you're..." I hear Dan ask. I understand what he means. I nod.
"I think so..." I say quietly. I brush my teeth and wash out my mouth. I see Dan sitting on the bed biting his nails. "Do you wanna go get a test with me?" I ask. He nods.

We get to the pharmacy. Dan is holding my hand, which is giving me a bit of hope. I do want kids, but I'm not sure if I'm ready. If I am pregnant, I'm keeping the baby no matter what.
"Do you want kids Dan?" I ask as I pick up a test.
"Yes. I think it will be great to see our creation running around the house." I laugh at 'creation'.
"You won't leave me, will you?" I ask.
"Why would I leave you? We have made something together, so we are in this together." I feel my eyes well up. Dan kisses me and when we pull back I see his eye glistening as well. A tear rolls down his cheek, but he quickly wipes it away. "I'm crying with happiness by the way." Dan laughs. I laugh with him and kiss him again.
"Can we vlog this?" I ask.
"Sure." I pull out my vlogging camera from my bag. Dan takes the test from my hands and walks up to the cashier.
"Hello people of the internet! Today is going to be an emotional day because... I think I'm pregnant." I say to the camera. I point the camera to Dan as he walk pays for the test and walks back over to me. "What a nice boyfriend." I joke. I face the camera towards me as Dan kisses me. "We did have a few joyful tears a second ago, well I'm probably going I have more later hopefully. And yes, we have decided that we want a baby. Okay, we decided literally now, but still. And before you guys go nuts, I know me and Dan aren't married, but we still feel like we can have a kid." I look at Dan and he nods. We walk out the pharmacy and back to Dan's car. "If the baby is a girl, what would you call her?" I ask Dan.
"Probably Ellie. Ellie Wills-Howell."
"Ellie Howell." I correct him.
"What about your last name?"
"Our baby is having your last name." My eyes well up again when I say 'our baby'. Damn emotions. "What would you call our baby if it was a boy?"
"William."
"William Howell. Hmm... I like Ethan Howell. Ethan James Howell."
"I like it!" Dan agrees.

We pull into the driveway and head up to the bathroom.
"What are you guys doing?" Megan asks.
"Dan get Phil." Dan nods and runs off. I tug Megan into the bathroom and present the test.
"Holy shit!" Megan almost screams. She hugs me.
"Can you help me please?"
"Hell yeah!" We read the instructions. "So, you need to pee on the stick and wait for five minutes."
"Okay, wait, I promised my viewers I would film this. I find my vlogging camera and start recording.
"Okay, I'm here with Megan, and this is the pregnancy test." I say, holding up the device. I put down the camera and pee on the stick. My stomach is doing somersaults. I can hear Dan vlogging outside.

The five minutes are up. I hand Megan the camera.
"The five minutes are up, so time to see the result." My hands are trembling. I turn over the stick...

Two... Lines...

My hand flys to my mouth and I start crying with joy. I look at Megan. I take my hand away.
"Two fucking lines. Megan! I'm pregnant!" I whisper. She realises I don't want Dan to hear me yet so she puts her hand over her mouth. I sob a bit and look at the test again. I show the camera. "Guys, there are two lines." I can't believe what I am seeing right now. Megan hugs me. Tears are rolling uncontrollably. Megan's eyes are tearing up as well. We calm down a bit before unlocking the door. Dan immediately looks towards us. Phil has taken Dan's camera. Megan is now standing next to him. Dan hugs me. I hold in a sob.
"What was the result?" He whispers. I pull away and take the test out of my pocket. I put it in his hands upside down.
"Face the camera before turning it over." I say. He turns around and slowly turns it over.
"Holy fuck." He whispers. "Holy shit, Blossom!" He yells with a huge smile on his face. He kisses me. "I'm gonna be a dad!" Tears roll down his face. I kiss him and hug him. Dan buries his face into my neck and cries with happiness. I chuckle while tears trail down my cheeks. Phil is smiling with tears in his eyes; Dan has been his best friend for over 6 years. Megan hugs Phil and whispers something in his ear. Phil smiles and kisses Megan.
"You're the only one I could ever imagine being the father of our child."
"You're the only one I could imagine mothering our child." He kisses me again.

Phil and Megan have stopped recording now.
"Do you guys want any lunch?"
"Can I have a Nutella wrap please?" I ask. Dan looks at me strangely so I point at my stomach.
"I'll have whatever your having." Dan says to Phil. Phil nods and goes downstairs with Megan. I look down at my stomach and realise there is a small bump. I take Dan's hand and guide it over the small bump. I see Dan's expression melt into pure love. He gets onto his knees.
"Hello baby Howell. I'm your daddy. I think you are gonna be big, just like me, and have you mummy's beautiful looks." He looks up at me. I smile and ruffle Dan's hair. He stands up again and kisses me.
"Let's see what Baby Howell looks like." I say, whipping out my phone. Dan stands next to me. I should be around 5 weeks. I search 'five week old foetus'. I click on the first link that comes up. It says:

Your baby's tiny heart is already dividing into chambers and will begin pumping blood soon. Your baby is about quarter of a centimetre long and looks more like a tadpole than a human being It'll have a growth spurt this week - the first of many!

He's busily growing all his major organs, including the kidneys and liver. His intestines are developing and the appendix is in place. The neural tube, which connects his brain and his spinal cord, will close this week.

All these internal developments are matched by changes in the outside too. The buds that will grow into your baby's arms and legs will begin to sprout. and below the opening that will later form your baby's mouth, small floss exist where the neck and lower jaw will develop.

"Our baby has a heart!" I squeal.
