As I open the door with a bit of a struggle.
I see both my parents outside my room with the look something-went-wrong-and-were-blaming-it-on-you.
"Sweetie..." My mom says after "I" let them in and by that they just barge in.
"Mom?" I replied with a bit of a raspy voice
"Sweetie..we've been thinking-"
"Sounds dangerous??!" I say sarcastically
"Since you broke your-"
"Mom I know, I can feel the pain no need in making it feel worst." I blurt out
"I think we should move; somewhere safer from here... You see I told my sister what happens and she said that Texas might be a more peaceful place..."
"MOM...NO... I don't WANT TO MOVE!" I say sharply
"I know your not happy but it's for your safety." My dad says
"I don't know I need more time..." I replied back
"We leave in about 3 months!"
It just shocked me so much. That's to early. No. I wanted to scream and throw everything... But I know that won't help.
"No dad! That's to early!!"
"Then how long?"
"5 months." I respond quickly
"No. 4 months."
"7."
"4!"
"8!!!"
"It's gonna be 8 at least until she finishes school!!" My mom yells
"Yes... I mean fine with me!"
My dad just stares at me with anger and leaves the room.
"Sweetie be nice..." My mom says with disappointment
Oh. No. She's playing the disappointment card...
"I'm very very-"
"I know disappointed... It's just I don't want to leave! I jut don't."
"I know it's gonna be hard, but sweetie we want you to be happy."
"But what about my friends..."I say with a few tears sliding down my cheek slowly.
"You'll survive. They will to." She said while wiping away a tear.
"Hear, I'll get you a new shirt."
"hayes!"I say under my breath
"What was that honey?"
"Nothing! Nothing... Um I can get it."
"But I'm already here and-"
"Mom it's ok. I just need some time alone..."I say while pushing her out the door.
"Oh. Ok just call me if you need me. I'll be in my room."
"Yea... Thanks mom." I say and quickly shut the door, as she left.
I open my closet door. Carefully.
"Hayes?" I say
"Hey..."
Before I could open my eyes after blinking hayes came forward and hugged me. He smelled so good. I felt my heart almost whole again... Almost.
"I heard everything."
"Yea. I'm sorry I didn't mean for this to happen." I say while pulling apart.
"It's not your fault."
"But... I'm gonna have to move." I couldn't see for a while my eyes where blur from my tears.
"We'll figure this out. Together." But when he said it
his smile was gone.
I don't know if it was me or him or just my imagination, that he touched my cheek.
"Hayes... I-"
"Don't worry, you'll be fine." He says
"No it's not that."
"Then what is it?"
"Why?"
"Why? What?"he seemed confuse.
"Why have you been treating me so different now?"
