She looked up at me “I’m a half vampire,”, “and as far as I know I’m the only one of my kind.” I smirked at her. You may be a half-vampire but that’s not much of a reason. “But what if I am the only one of my kind? If you kill me nobody would even know of my existence.” She had starting breathing slower now; my guess was that the crash broke a few ribs. I looked at her, wondering if I really should let her go. The knife i had obtained from her earlier was sitting in the palm of my hand. I could torture her but I wasn’t sure... My thinking was interrupted by her muttering something. “Speak up love, they can’t hear you in the back row.” She glared at me from the ground. “I’m alot like you..” She had trailed off leaving me to wonder what she was talking about. “My past has been tragic too; someone I loved was killed.” My eyes slightly widened, she was telling the truth but how many vampires have the same past as me, well us I guess. “It was 1991, only a decade ago. I was like any other normal looking young adult in Las Vegas. My appearance hadn’t changed since I turned 20, 82 years ago, and I was still beautiful according to my brothers. I had gone to Las Vegas for a part-time singer in a hotel along the Vegas Strip. Each night, 7 different bands played a total of 5 songs each, then I went on solo – just me and the mike – until a new guy came. His name was Archer. He was about your height, bright blue eyes, black hair streaked with purple streaks; his skin was as pale as ours. He was a soloist and the manager said we should do an act together to see if it would bring in more people. And it did, after two months of singing by myself, we both sang a duet of “Ain’t No Sunshine.” It brought in people from all over America. It had been amazing. After a few shows, we started dating and it turned out to be love, but I didn’t tell him about what I was. We perfectly happy, until the robbery.” Her eyes showed a aching pain, which made me feel some sympathy for the girl. I cautiously listened on.
