Rox's dull eyes widened as she shot up from the couch, crystal tears forming in her eyes. "C-Cass," her voice seemed to have died but after a brief moment she continued, "I-I'm so sorry! I didn't know what came over..." Castiel held a finger to her lips, looking at her with that peaceful look angels usually have but his eyes were filled with sadness and guilt. "I should be one that's sorry dear Sharleen..." He hung his head low before flicking his gaze towards us as I lifted myself off the couch, "Because...by sunrise you'll be dead." Before I had the chance to fling him into the bookcase, Cass had touched her forehead and teleported both himself and Rox away, knocking her unconscious in the process. I stumbled as I regained my posture. I kneeled down to the last place the two last stood. You wanna play games huh Cass? Well here's a newsflash for ya. You're not the only one that can teleport! I placed my hand on the carpet and teleported out of Bobby's house. I appeared at a warehouse, the same one where I had avenged Rox's love as well as my own. My eyes wandered up to the open double doors; raspy breathing and cries of pain filled my ears. I ran inside to see Rox kneeling on the ground, Castiel standing next to her with the knife from before; her body was covered in scratches, cuts and deep stab wounds. Cass turned his head to the side as Rox looked up towards me.
"How'd you find me Shade? I thought I had covered my tracks."
Guess you though wrong pretty boy. I charged at Cass knocking him over and the knife out of his hand. Rox wheezed in pain as she attempted to crawl away from the scene, shards of glass from a broken mirror cutting into her hands, knees and shins; with each cut a tear trickled down her porcelain face. We fought on, Cass attempting to find a weakness within my attacks. Finally he made his move, as he ran at me, he picked up a silver blade and slashed it against my chest; instead of leaving me with just the slash, he stabbed my. The blade pierced right through my chest. I heard Rox gasp. "NO SHADE!"
"I'm sorry Rox...but he was in my way." Cass turned back, only to see that my body wasn't there anymore, along with the blade. "That's...that's not possible!"
Sorry angel boy but I'm afraid it is. Cass wheeled around to see me in front of him, my fist blades extended. Cya mate. With my right blade, I gave him an uppercut, which sent the blade through his head. Cass dropped to the ground motionless. Rox staggered to her feet, hobbling
"Aren't angels...meant to explode?"
Yeah...they're meant to... I turned to show her why Cass didn't. Whenever I kill someone or something, I seem to collect their energy...their souls I guess. So don't worry about me Rox, He's not dead. I know he was your boy... Rox stopped me, holding my hand.
"Shade that guy isn't my boyfriend. He did just try to kill me.
Hmm... I examined her hand, the one holding mine, before looking over her wreaked body. I can fix you up...if it's okay with you. The blades retracted and my hands began to glow a warm, silvery light. Would you..? She nodded and her hand slipped away from mine. I ran my fingers through raven hair and the light began to travel down her hair, then went on to the rest of her body, repairing her wounds as the light passed through them.
The light had returned to my right hand and turned into my Soul Gem, that had vanished weeks before.
It looks like that spell reactivated my soul magic. Her eyes widened in surprise.
"M-Magic? I thought that spellcasters were extinct."
I guess you though wrong...if that's what you call magic.
