"Oh thank the lord! It's finally Saturday!" I said, letting a big breath of relief out as I fell on the couch. I noticed Taeyoon drinking tea on the other couch opposite to me. He puts his tea down and looks at me. "What's Amazon?" I was taken aback by his question. "Uhhh okay?? I guess it's a big online shopping platform people get stuff from for normally cheaper?" He nodded and hummed in understanding. "What made you think of that?" I asked. "I just noticed that box in the corner that was there since I got here." I looked at the box and internally sweated. That's the box from the cards. I wonder how he would react if I got him from a box that was sent somewhere across the world. "Uhh yeah I probably should've gotten rid of that." He nodded. "Can we go somewhere?" I looked up at him. "Sure but how come?" He crossed his arms. "I felt an unbalanced presence a few blocks away. Definitely not a good one." I widened my eyes.
You've got to be shitting me.
He carried me to the spot he mentioned and placed us both on the ground below which was completely deserted. "Um.. is something supposed to be happening?" I asked looking around confused. He hushed me and listened intently to any anomaly's in the area. I looked down and saw my shadow was gone. "Woah, My shadows gone!!" Dammit I know what this thing is. His head snaps towards me and he quickly grabs me and flies upwards, missing the huge shadow wave. 'Now how did Sakura beat the shadow card..' I thought. 'Who is Sakura? You keep mentioning her' I jumped and looked up to glare at Taeyoon. "Long story, don't have time to explain! Now. Are there any strong lights around?" He looked around the area. "There is a big oval over there with big lights.." he spoke. "Oh the stadium i'm a dumbass. Quick let's go!!" We flew there quickly and the shadow followed us.
"Key that hides its crystal form, as your master I command you. RELEASE!" I sigh in anticipation. "Okay Taeyoon can you distract it for a couple minutes? I have a plan!" He nods at me and tells me to be careful before launching to the other end of the field leaving the shadow trailing behind him. I ran to the control room of the stadium and came across the locked door. I groaned in annoyance before a lightbulb lit in my mind. "Open this door for the public and me, windy!" I squinted my eyes as windy emerged and sent a huge gust of wind that slammed the door opened. I let out a breath of relief and smiled at her. "Thanks for that, you saved me a huge workout." She nodded and smiled back at me before returning to her card. I entered the room and leaned over the control panel. 'Is everything alright?' I heard taeyoon speak in a link. 'Yeah i'm fine and good timing. I'm gonna need you to direct the shadow to the center. I'll countdown.' He paused for a second. 'Okay, what are you going to do?' I turned the power on, ready to flip the switches to the lights. 'I'm going to turn all the floodlights on. It'll weaken shadow and I can nab it with windy once it's done.' He hummed in agreement. 'Tell me when.' I put my fingers over the main light switch. 'Okay countdown now from 3.. 2.. 1....NOW!!' Taeyoon dove upwards in the centre and I slammed the switch on causing the shadow to shriek and start to falter. I ran out of the room and Taeyoon swooped me up before placing me on the ground in front of the entity with my staff in hand. I pointed the staff at the shadows true form and called the words. "Windy! Turn into chains that bind!" As commanded, windy shot out of the staff and sharp blades of wind trapped shadow in a ball. "Return to the form you were meant to be, Crystal card!" The translucent card gleamed in front of me and shadow got sucked into it, forming the cards details. I smiled at the card. 'I trust you' it spoke before completely disappearing into the ink.
I heavily sighed. "We did it finally!!" I fell back onto the stadiums grass. "Uhh wait aren't people going to find out why the stadium lights suddenly turned on..?" Taeyoon appeared in front of me. "Don't worry I took care of it." I looked confused at him but didn't bother asking as we once again flew off to the comfort of my apartment.
"Want a hot chocolate?" I called to Taeyoon from the kitchen. He walked in and stood next to me before replying. "..What is a hot chocolate?" I looked at him almost offended. "You've never had it?! What about normal chocolate then?" I asked him while stirring the chocolate powder and milk. "Yes. But it isn't necessary for us guardians to drink nor eat." I rolled my eyes. "Well in my house it's becoming a necessity." I smiled at him and shooed him away to the lounge room while I worked my magic. Best hot chocolate maker by the way. I finished them up and walked into the lounge room before setting the mugs down and sitting opposite him. "Go on, try it." He looked at me then looked at the drink before slowly picking it up by the handle and moving the liquid to his lips. He suddenly made a painful face. "Uh yeah it's hot. Clearly.. might want to blow on it or something." I grinned. 'you'd think he'd know when something is hot or cold.'
I froze when he stopped looking at the mug and gave me a terrifying glare. "right yep, the hearing thoughts thing, yep sorry about that heh.." I spoke slowly backing away with my hands raised in surrender. He rolled his eyes and focused again at the hot chocolate.
After blowing on it he took a sip and his face remained stoic but I could see the bliss in his eyes as they light up. "..it's good." He spoke as he kept sipping it. "Good to hear, it's my specialty! I can teach you if you want!" He looked up at me pleadingly. "Please do." I laughed and let him finish before leading him to the kitchen and starting his adventure.
"Why is a 'micro-wave' so big?"
"Oh for fucks sake."
