"Snowflake.." Bucky whispered, gently shaking me. I slowly woke up, rubbing my eyes. I groaned quietly as I sat up. "How long was I asleep?" I asked tiredly. "Only for a couple hours." Bucky replied, rubbing my back. The door opened and a man walked in. I recognized him instantly. "Zemo." I snarled. Zemo glanced at me and stopped in his tracks. "Y/N." He replied. "What're you doing here?" I asked. "I'm here for him." Zemo stated shortly, a little too proud as he pointed at Bucky. "No you're not." I snapped. "You don't have what it takes to control him."

I was confused by what Zemo meant till he pulled out a red notebook with a black star on it. My eyes got wide, knowing what was gonna happen. Bucky looked at me with pain in his eyes. "Go.. while you still have a chance. I don't want you hurt anymore." He whispered. I hesitated, glancing between Zemo and Bucky and stood up. "Run, Y/N." He said. "I-I don't wanna.." I replied. Zemo started saying the trigger words. My heart was pounding as I looked at Bucky. I had two options. I could go find Steve and tell him what's happening or I could stay here with Bucky and die right then and there. "Go, Y/N! I'm not gonna tell you again." Bucky snapped at me and I started to leave the room. I could here the pain in his voice, telling Zemo to stop.

I stopped outside the door, wanting to go back in and rip the book out of Zemos hands but it was too late. I knew Bucky had turned into the Winter Soldier. I looked back at the door and started running to Steve. Before I could get far, a cold metal hand cupped my mouth to keep me from screaming. Bucky pushed me to the ground, I wiggled and squirmed to get out of his grip. I was laying on my stomach, his body on top of mine. He punched me in the back of the head with his right arm. It didn't knock me out but I pretended it did so he could attack the other people. I didn't like the thought of other people getting hurt but I had to regain my vision.

Once I got my vision back, I felt light headed as I stumbled getting up. I stood there for a moment then shook my head. I looked around, everyone around me was knocked out. I was confused. Surely I wasn't down for that long... I thought. I wandered around, looking at everyone's unconscious or dead bodies on the ground. I walked down some stairs and saw Bucky fighting Tony. I positioned myself on the balcony above them and dropped down so I could land on Buckys shoulders. He looked up angry and confused. "Oh now you're angry about my legs being on your shoulders." I rolled my eyes then had the wind knocked out of me when he had slammed me against the table. He got on his knees and left to fight Nat.

Natasha was near me when she heard me speak. She constantly elbowed him in the head till Bucky slammed her against against the table. "At least.. remember me." Romanoff choked out. I slid off the table near Bucky and crouched down as I swept my left leg under his. He fell on his ass then I started running. I only had one thing on my mind and that was to find Steve. When I found him, he had Zemo pinned against a wall and his forearm pressed against Zemos throat. "Steve, there are other things you need to be worrying about." I stated, walking towards hun. Steve turned his attention to me, letting go of Zemo. Zemo began running off. I watched him then looked at Steve. "Where's the blood from?" Steve asked. "Bucky. He tried knocking me out a few minutes ago." I replied. "A few minutes ago? He got loose about 15 minutes ago. Stay here." He ordered. "You know Damn well I don't listen." I smirked.

Steve smiled a little and started jogging around to find the helicopter pad. I followed him, not bothering to help him because I knew he had everything under control. I had noticed Bucky was in the chopper as Steve ran to it. Bucky was in the air. I watched the helicopter rise into the air before it got stuck. I was confused till I looked more south, smiling at Steve as he held onto the bottom of the helicopter and the rail of the pad. I was actually impressed granted little pre-serum Steve could never. I got closer, looking up at Bucky. Bucky looked back at me and guided the helicopter so it would land on me. I ran off, rolling to the ground, just barely missing a blade. I laid on the ground, panting, before I got up. When I got up, the helicopter started sliding off the pad into the water below. I watched, fear in my eyes as I looked around. I wanted to help but after what happened with the helicarriers, I was scared of falling from great heights into water. Especially cause it can break your bones. I stood at the edge scared that I was gonna slip. I looked down into the water, waiting for Steve or Bucky to come up. After a few moments I watched two heads pop up. I took a breath of relief as I stepped back.

I sat on the helicopter pad before leaning back to lay down and stare up at the bright blue sky. I watched the clouds float above. I fought my eyes to stay awake. I felt sleep deprived. Eventually I gave up and I fell asleep. When I woke up, I was in a different room. It was cooler. Darker. I was resting against Sam when I woke up. "You fell asleep on the helicopter pad. You need to stop overworking yourself, y/n." Sam said. I sat up, running my fingers through my hair as I yawn. I thought about how to answer, looking down. "I overwork myself because I don't want to be a failure." I replied quietly. Sam stood up then helped me up. "None of us see you like that.." Bucky whispered. The three of us looked at Bucky. "Which Bucky am I talking to?" Steve asked. "Your moms name was Sarah. You used to wear newspaper in your shoes.." he chuckled. "Can't read that in a museum." Steve stated, looking at sam. "And just like that we're supposed to be cool?"

"It's true... I know when Buckys himself." I replied, going to him, cupping his cheek. "I love you.." I whispered. Bucky looked up at me, calm in his eyes. "I love you too, snowflake." Bucky whispered. I leant down and kisses him softly before resting my forehead against his. He moved his right hand, resting it on my waist as I turned around to face sam and Steve. "Told you.." I smiled a little, feeling buckys head rest against my waist. Steve let out a chuckle and smiles rolled his eyes a little before smiling a little. I sat down on the ground between buckys legs, feeling his hand run through my hair. I reached up and grabbed his hand to pull it so his wrist was on my shoulder. I twiddled with his fingers, tracing the lines on his palm. I stayed quiet as they spoke, my head resting on his leg.

I wanted to ask him something important but it was extremely irrelevant to the conversation they had about Zemo. "Y/n? What do you think?" Sam asked. "Hm? Sorry.. I-I zoned out." I felt embarrassed admitting it. "What were you thinking about then?" Steve asked. "I-" I chewed my lip for a moment before standing up and turning around to face Bucky. I held his free hand. "I know right now isn't romantic or how you would've done this and we don't have a ring. But, Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes.." I began. "Can I be Mrs. Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes?" I asked. My cheeks were pink. Bucky smiled up at me in awe. "Yes." He replied. "Yes, you can." He pulled me down and kissed me. I smiled into the kiss. "I can't wait to marry you. Maybe at some point I'll do this and it can be a tad more romantic." Bucky chuckled. "Sounds good to me."

"You know, with everything going on, maybe a wedding is what we need." Steve smiles, going to us, taking off the metal object holding down buckys arm. "Did you really just quote Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows?" Sam asked. "Dammit. I was hoping you didn't catch that." He smirked in response.
