(In the third paragraph, play sentimental mood by Duke Ellington so you feel more into the story ♥️)

A few months after arriving to Wakanda, Steve was visiting a lot. I had no idea why. I figured it was so he could visit Bucky even though Bucky was frozen. Today was odd though. It was December 11, 2016. I was expecting it to be a normal day but I wasn't sure as to why it wasn't. Steve had brought some of the people I fought with. Even some I didn't fight with. I looked at Steve. "Whats this?" I asked. "I just have something planned for you. Put on your best dress." Steve smiled.

"Alright." I raised an eyebrow and went to my room. I had one of Buckys shirts with me. It smelt like him and I wore it whenever I was missing him. I went over to my closet, looking through the little fancy clothes I had. Steve had brought me some dresses from home. We'd go on little dates together in the past when I was having a hard time. I found one of my favorite dresses. It was floor length, a beautiful baby blue with a slit in the front.

I curled my hair and did my makeup. I figured Steve was just trying to make me feel better because Buckys been frozen for so long. I found my silver stilettos and put them on. I walked outside, finding Steve. "May I?" He asked, holding out his arm to my me. I giggled, kind of feeling like I knew what was happening but I wasn't for sure. Sometimes we'd dress up nice and eat at a random place. I linked my arm with his and we began walking. "How have you been while Buckys been frozen?" He asked. "Well, it's been okay, I guess." I shrugged.

"A little lonely but I like when you come over. I have others to talk to." I laughed. We walked outside, the cool night air felt good. We walked for a little bit till we made it to the trees, a lit up pathway. Chairs on either side, Bucky in a black tux at the end. Bucky only had one arm but he still looked hot. I cupped my mouth and looked at Steve. "You wanted to give me away?" I asked. Steve smiled and nodded. "You had no else to walk with you down the aisle."

I hugged him. "Thank you.." I whispered. Steve held me close. "You're welcome, y/n." He whispered back. We made it to the end of the aisle and Sentimental mood by Duke Ellington began playing. It was my favorite song even after all these years. Nat was waiting at the end of the aisle with a bouquet of white roses, babys breath, and red roses. I grabbed it and hugged her. "Congratulations, y/n." Nat smiles and went to her seat. "Thank you." I giggled and Steve and began walking down the aisle.

Buckys lip was quivering at the sight of me. When I made it to the end of the aisle, the song quit playing. I handed Wanda my bouquet to hold. I lifted my hand and wiped his tears. "So before I came out here before I got ready, so like the instant I... thawed out I guess." Bucky chuckled. "I watched Corpse Bride again. Remember when we would watch that together in Romania.. I wanted to do the vows from that movie."

I melted. "I do remember." I glanced off to the side and saw the cup and red wine. "You're so cute. Ready?" Bucky smiles and nodded. We looked at the officiate, I held Buckys hand with my left. "Do you intend to take this woman whose hand you hold to be your lawful wedded wife; and do you pledge before God and man to love, honor, and protect her through sunshine and shadow alike; keeping yourself unto her alone until death shall separate you? If so, answer "I Do"." The officiate smiled. "I do." Buckys voice shook, he was fighting back tears of happiness. I also had tears running down. I was excited. I finally had peace in my life.

"Do you intend to take this man, whose hand you hold, to be your lawful wedded husband; and do you pledge before God and man to be to him a loving and true wife, through sunshine and shadow alike, keeping yourself unto him alone, until death shall separate you? If so, answer "I Do"." The officiate looked at me. "I do." I was getting antsy. I wanted to kiss him. I was ready. "You two shall say your vows." He smiled. Bucky let go of my hand and held up his right hand.

"With this hand, I will lift your sorrows," he began and grabbed the cup. "Your cup will never empty for I will be your wine." He smiles. I grabbed the cup. "With this hand, I will lift your sorrows," I said, grabbing the wine. "Your cup will never empty for I will be your wine." I finished, handing him the cup. He grabbed it and took a sip then placed the cup down.

The officiate had grabbed two candles and two matches. I lit Bucky candle as he held the candlestick. "With this candle, I will light your way in darkness." Bucky said. I blew out his match and tossed it onto the ground, stepping on it. I grabbed my match and lit it then grabbed my candle, lighting it. "With this candle, I will light your way in darkness." We placed our candles down and grabbed our runs that were on chains. I giggled a little and grabbed his necklace as he grabbed mine. "With this ring, I ask you to be mine." We said at the same time.

We knew that our vows and actions weren't exactly like the movie but it was close enough. I placed his necklace around his head then helped him put mine on. "There you go.." I spoke quietly and smiled. "You may kiss the bride. She's getting antsy." The officiate chuckled. Bucky pulled me in quickly and held me close, placing the deepest and most passionate kiss I've ever had.

I kissed him back, wrapping my arms around his neck as our small crowd cheered and clapped.
