Quackmore planned a weekend to stay at his mom's farm and tell the family about the egg on the way. They told Blaire the morning that they went to the farm. She was excited to be a big sister in the near future. She hugged both of her parents. They were going to be one big happy family. Quackmore got Blaire dressed and ready to go to see her grandmother and all her aunts and uncles and her two cousins Gladstone and Fethry. She didn't sit still for him.

"Blaire, we have to tell you something baby girl," Hortense said. Blaire looked at Hortense. "You're going to be a big sister," Hortense said. Blaire immediately hugged Hortense. "Are you happy, princess?" Quackmore asked. Blaire nodded at Quackmore while still hugging her mother. "Alright princess, it's time to get you ready to go to grandma's," Hortense said, trying to get up. "Get yourself ready to go, honey, I'll get her ready to go," Quackmore said. "Are you sure you can get her ready to go?" Hortense said. "Sure, I can," Quackmore said. He went to get Blaire ready to leave. After she was ready to go, he took her to Hortense to get her hair brushed. Hortense brushed Blaire's hair and pulled it into two little braids. Hortense didn't know what else to really do with her young daughter's red curly hair besides to get it out of her face. Blaire looked cute with braids hanging down by her face. Blaire reminded Hortense so much of herself as a young child growing up. Especially with the bright curly red hair of hers.

They soon got to the farm. Elvira, Quackmore's mother and Blaire's grandmother, was excited to see them. It had been awhile since Blaire had seen Elvira. Blaire was excited to go to the farm for the weekend. Hortense loved seeing the farm because there was so much space for Blaire to run around and it was where she had met Quackmore and it was where Blaire hatched out of her egg. When Blaire hatched out of her egg, Quackmore was the first one to grab her into his arms and clean her. He was the one who swaddled her in a little pink blanket. Hortense was up all night waiting for her to hatch out of her egg and she was asleep at the time of her hatching.

"Grandma!" Blaire said. "Oh, my only granddaughter," Elvira said. Elvira scooped Blaire into her arms and hugged her. "I miss you grandma," Blaire said. "I miss you too," Elvira said. Hortense and Quackmore came up to Elvira and Blaire while holding hands. "I got something for you Blaire," Elvira said, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a little charm. "A new charm for my charm bracelet," Blaire said. "Mom, you spoil Blaire a little too much," Quackmore said. "I'm a grandmother, it's my job to spoil my grandchildren," Elvira said. "You spoil Blaire more than Gladstone or Fethry," Quackmore said. "She's my only granddaughter," Elvira said.

Quackmore took Blaire from Elvira and they went to everyone else. "Quackmore and I have an announcement to make," Hortense said. Everyone turned to them. "Say it Blaire," Quackmore said. "I'm going to be a big sister," Blaire said. "What?" Lulubelle said. "Congratulations you two," Daphne said, hugging Hortense and Quackmore. "What's wrong Lulubelle?" Quackmore asked. "I'm also having another baby," Lulubelle said. "Congratulations," Hortense said. "Lulubelle, isn't Fethry ten months old?" Daphne said. "Yes, but around the time that I lay this egg, he'll be a year old," Lulubelle said. "You're a month along," Hortense said. "Yeah," Lulubelle said. They all started to talk about the new additions to the family. Everyone was excited for the new babies to come into the family. They all ate dinner as well. Elvira made everyone's favorite, lasagna. No one noticed how late it was getting until the children started falling asleep. Gladstone fell asleep on the porch of the farmhouse, Fethry fell asleep on the ground near the firepit, and Blaire fell asleep on Quackmore's lap.

"It's getting quite late and I think these children need to go to bed," Elvira said. They all went into the house with the children. Blaire woke up and started to cry. "It's alright princess," Quackmore said. Hortense and Quackmore got Blaire ready for bed. Blaire kicked toward Hortense's stomach as they got her into her pajamas. "Careful, don't kick mommy's tummy," Hortense said as she took Blaire's braids out of her hair. Blaire curled up to her father and started to fall asleep again. "I love you princess," Quackmore said. "I love you too daddy," Blaire said.
