Several months later, Hortense and Quackmore were in the hospital waiting for the twins to hatch out of the shell of their egg. They had been very vigilant in keeping an eye on their one little egg that they had. Hortense was exhausted from trying to take care of Blaire and the egg. Quackmore couldn't get her to rest anymore. She was even worse than when they just had Blaire. Blaire was almost three years old now. Everyone was excited for her birthday. She was the most excited for her birthday. Quackmore and Hortense hoped that the twins would hatch before Blaire's birthday. They didn't want to cancel any plans for her birthday that they made.
They had been at the hospital for a few days waiting for the twins to hatch. Hortense was the one to see the first cracks in the egg at six in the morning. "Quackmore, Quackmore. The twins are hatching," Hortense said. Quackmore got up and went to get the doctor. The doctor came in and helped with the hatching. The twins were connected to the shell by an umbilical cord. The doctor cut the umbilical cords and gave the twins to their parents. They had a son and another daughter. The twins fell asleep in their parents arms after they got shots. "You can hold them while we give them the shots they need and to run any tests that we need to run," Dr. Garcia said. "Alright, thank you," Quackmore said. The twins got the shots and blood drawn to run the tests that were needed to be done. The twins started to scream and cry. Their parents struggled to calm them down. Hortense decided it was time for them to be fed. "What are their names?" Dr. Garcia said. "He's Donald," Hortense said. "She's Della," Quackmore said.
"I think it's time for them to be fed," Hortense said. "Here you go," Quackmore said, gently placing the little baby girl into Hortense's free arm. He helped her get situated with the twins to be able to feed them from her breasts. The twins calmed down and started to feed. They finished feeding and the baby girl was handed back to Quackmore. They were burped by the time that the doctor came back into the room with two birth certificates for them to sign. Hortense signed them first and then Quackmore signed the birth certificates.
