"Well blow me away, I didn't ever think you'd actually get my dumb ole brother to settle down with you, you too good and pure for him Y/N..." Sandy walked over to hand you the bouquet.
"I don't think anyone in Meade is pure Sandy and you know it" you give her a look.
Y/N never did trust Carl, ever since they got married, hastily whist on the road. Her instincts had been right there too but it wouldn't be for a while longer that she discovers the true extent to her sister in laws crimes.
"You ready?" The friendly voice of your other bridesmaid Betty who also worked with you and Charlotte, made you both look towards the door as she opened it. You had stopped working at the diner, once you'd found your Daddy's stack of hidden cash you'd realised there wasn't any need for you to work again... but you didn't want anyone to stark talkin' so you carried on. Now pretending to have saved and feeling confident in Lee's ability to provide for you once he'd been elected you were happy to say you were stopping so you could attend to your duties as a house wife.... everyone thought you marvellous.

"Congratulations" You thank and smile at the endless amount of townsfolk who seemed to have been invited to the reception. Knowing Lee had wanted to start schmoozing people as possible you kept up appearances for as long as you could until you felt a little light headed and joined Sandy for a drink.
"This is your life now" She said playfully.
"Oh its only just begun Sandy... you watch.. we'll own the whole damn town before you know it." You give her a wink and she laughs telling you you're just as bad as Lee. It's a while before you're able to get Lee alone.
"Am I gonna have to fight the townsfolk for your attention forever?" You ask as you snake your arms around his neck.
"I always have time for you darlin'" He puts his hands round your waste and the music changes to a slower love song. Sonny James starts playing.
