I walked onto the train looking for Draco and the others. Normally, I would sit with Ophelia, Amora, and Azealia but they all stayed home for the Easter holiday to study. Draco convinced me to come with him to visit home so he would have company. I found the trio sitting in the back of the fourth cab. I place my bag in the overhead and sit down across from Blaise.
Blaise. The guy I dated all during 6th and the beginning of 7th year. He was close to Draco so it was always hard to avoid him even if I wanted to. He stared out the window as we began to depart from the station. I look at Draco for help, but he is glaring at Blaise. I look at Pansy, who's trying to figure out how to calm down the tension by mouthing a topic to herself.
" I am so glad to return to Hogwarts," I said, trying to break the tension. Blaise and I ended on good terms but whenever I am near, He and Draco tenses up. I never understood why because Draco always speaks highly of Blaise.
"Yes! It's crazy that we are inching towards May which means studying for hours for exams." I nod in agreement, exams were not my favorite. I hated them especially since Professor Umbridge had a vendetta against everyone not Slytherin..
"Oh like you ever study," Draco lets out the sneaky remark after remaining silent. Pansy flicks Draco's arm that is resting on the table. Blaise finally relaxing lets out a laugh.
"We all know the only thing that Pansy studies is how to annoy us." This earned a laugh from Draco. The two finally pushed aside the feeling of tension that appeared when I sat down.
"Jasmine," I look at Blaise, who has addressed me for the first time since I sat down. I look at him waiting for him to finish his statement, "I hear that a bunch of first years pranked you and locked you in the music room." I cringe at the memory.
A month prior to this trip, I was practicing the piano and a bunch of Ravenclaw first years had walked in. My guess was they were there to use the instruments like I was, but seeing that I was there, they became even more annoyed. We bickered back and forth about who had the right to the music room which ended with me being locked in and crying for help for about an hour. After Ophelia found me, I attempted to find the annoying first years that had locked me in the music room, but they were nowhere to be found.
"Oh, my goodness, I heard about that in the great hall. Apparently, the girl was crying for hours which was echoing in the hallways- wait you said Jasmine- Jasmine that was you?" Pansy questions.
I feel my cheeks heat up as I hide behind my hands in shame. Blaise and Draco's laughter fills the busy train car leaving me even more embarrassed. Pansy, unable to hide her laughter, lets her hair do it as she looks down. I turn to the window and listen to the chatter for the rest of the ride back to Hogwarts.
