_*~Chapter 4: The Price Of Gold~*_

When the door opened, she heard her mother shout "Lydia! Get down hear!" sighing, she left her bed and walked downstairs to see her mother taking her shoes off. She looked furious, with henry no were to be seen. "What did you say to henry?" she asked crouching down to her.

"I didn't mean it... I was... Stressed" She answered looking into her mothers eyes who had softened.

"About what, sweetheart?"

"Am I adopted?"

Regina's eyes widened. How did she find out ,was all that was running through her head? No way did she want her daughter to know she was adopted! That would mean Lydia wouldn't love her the same. Well that was what Regina thought.

Regina smiled lightly, patting her daughter's head "No, why would you ever think of such a thing, sweetheart?"

"Because Henry was..." Lydia concluded, looking into her mothers soft eyes. Without any warning. The girl was swooped into a hug. She relaxed into it after a couple of moments.

They stayed like that until Regina pulled back, smiling at her daughter . "Why don't you go apologise to Henry" Nodding , Lydia charged up the stairs, un noticing the sinister smirk coming across Regina's face.

Everything was going to plan. She could finally have her children to herself. The only thing that was interfering was Mr Gold and Emma. Surely she can handle that...

Could she?

Lydia stood outside a wooden door. She was hesitant to open it. What if he hated her? No, he wouldn't, she thought. Taking a deep breath, she entered Henry's room that had a few bookshelves, a dresser, a bed and other useless junk.

She saw him sitting at the windowsill , gazing outside, not even reacting when she opened the door. "Henry?" She spoke, receiving no reaction. "Well since you're not going to talk, I might as well" She began "I didn't mean to yell at you...It was just, I-" She stuttered "I was being selfish and rude." She smiled lightly as her brother slowly turned to face her, tears streaming out of his eyes. Probably from earlier." I love you and I always will, and to me, you will always be my brother. With or without blood."

At the end of her rant, She got pulled into a hug by him "I'm sorry for ignoring you Dia, and you will always be my sister. Always and forever" they both smiled at each other.

For the rest of the night, they both just binge watched some netflix shows and re read the once upon a time book. Lydia had a weird connection to some characters. For example, rumplestiltskin. She didn't know why. She hardly had anything in common with him.

They ended up falling to sleep on Henry's bed, the book scattered on the floor.

Later that night. Regina came to check on them to see them snoring away. This made her smile. Not one of her sinister smirks, a genuine smile graced onto her face. As lightly as she could, she shut the door ever so lightly, afraid to wake them.

The next morning, the two siblings and Emma were trotting down the street. Lydia was a nervous wreck. She didn't want Regina to find them both walking with emma.
