~EPISODE 7: The Heart Is A lonely Hunter~

Henry and Lydia had just made their way through the town to the secret path. Lydia was excited to introduce her brother to Evelyn. She had a feeling that they would like each other.

They made their way through the leaves until they were met with the hill covered in flowers and pink petals. A calming smile fell onto the girl's features and she took Henry's hand and walked up.

Henry had an energetic grin on his face as he skipped up the hill, his hand still in his sisters. When they reached the top, Lydia took a seat against the tree and placed her backpack next to her.

This confused henry. "Where is your friend?" Lydia patted a space next to her, indicating for him to take a seat. He obliged and sat down.

"She's usually late," Lydia admitted. Unknowingly, she stared down at her wrist. It still had the bracelet from the day before. Henry followed her gaze and smiled.

"Did she give you that?" The boy guessed. He earned a slight nod. "She seems like a nice person, huh?"

"She is," The girl confirmed. Even though she hasn't known Evelyn for that long, she feels as if she has connected with her. Changing the subject, Lydia turned her gaze to her brother "How's school been?"

This earned a groan from Henry, making Lydia burst out laughing. After lydia calmed down, henry spoke "Alright i guess"

"School isn't that bad" she smirked.

"You haven't been there for a week!" He exclaimed, shooting his arms in the air. Lydia lightly chuckled. Still crackling, the girl opened her bag and pulled out one of her books.

She turned to where the book mark was placed and started reading. Henry just lent his head on her shoulder and skimmed through the pages with a smile. It had been a couple of minutes of silence until Lydia broke it.

"Damn, where is she?" She commented, taking her eyes off her book.

"Where is who?" Someone said. Both children screamed and fell onto their sides in fright. A booming laugh was heard after their yelps. Lydia sat up with an annoyed expression on her face.

"Eve!!" She exclaimed, Chucking her book at Evelyn, who was rolling on the floor in a fit of laughter. Henry just looked terrified. This made the blond laugh more.

After Evelyn has calmed down, she looked over to the two who held unimpressed expressions. Her smirk vanished as realisation settled in. Evelyn looked over to henry. The blond stood to her full height and spoke "Lydia, who is this?" her voice was montoned and her posture tenced.

Lydia's annoyed expression disappeared as she jumped up. She helped Henry get to his feet as she introduced them. "Evelyn, this is my brother henry." Evelyn still looked stiff. It was as if she felt wary of him.

"Hello" Henry excitedly greeted. He gave her a toothy smile. Evelyn stared at him. An awkward silence fell upon them for a few moments until Evelyn muttered something.

"What was that, Eve?" Lydia asked. The taller girl rolled her eyes and grabbed Lydia's hand and dragged her a bit down the hill. She stopped and whispered to Lydia.

"I don't like him," Evelyn muttered. This surprised Lydia. She thought she would like henry.

With a frown, Lydia asked "Why?" Evelyn's body posture slouched.

"I just... Feel.....around....." Eve muttered. Lydia was just able to make out a few words but wasn't sure about what she said.

"Could you repeat that, please?" She spoke calmly, placing a hand on Evelyn's shoulded. This made Evelyn feel more comfortable and sheslightly untenced.
