All I felt was pain in my head, pounding so bad I was sure someone was hitting me in the head with a hammer. I could hear someone saying, "Don't worry, it'll be all over soon."

I wake up into someone shaking me, asking if I'm ready to say goodbye. I hurry up and get dressed in more presentable clothes and rush to the front entrance.

"Wait," I yell, running up to my parents and Sesshomaru. My parents turn around and give me a hug, while Sesshomaru waits, looking away from me. We tell each other, love you, and they head on their way.

"Sesshomaru, I know you'll always come back to me, but please still be safe." I say lovingly while holding his face. He says hn then kisses my forehead, then turns to leave, but before he does, I yell out that I love him and would never forgive him if he didn't come back to tell me the same. He looked back at me with slight disbelief and a blush, then took off to the skies. I look out after him, wishing I could go help, but my gifts are too special for us to take that chance. I go inside and decide to lay out an offering and say a prayer to my ancestors for the protection of my family.

As the weeks go, I say a prayer every day for them. Their safe return is what I hope for most of all. During these times, I continue to practice the gifts that were given to me while also keeping in mind that if I go overboard, I'll catch the attention of demons. The war was slowly coming to an end, and my parents sent me a message saying they'll be back in three days' time. So today, I decided to get a party thrown to welcome them back from their victory.

Slowly, me and the others got everything ready. I was so tired, but at least we got half of the decorations done. We plan to finish the other decorations tomorrow and then make a menu for the feast afterward. They help me get ready for bed, but when I go back into my room after the bath, the windows were open, so I ask them why they were open, and they said they don't remember opening them. We all shrugged it off. I shut them and then went to lay down.

The next day, I woke up early to help finish the decorations. Then, I helped decide the meals we would have for the feast. We also decided to decorate the city too for our people. Tomorrow, we are going to let them know we won the war, and it's time to celebrate. I even set up a firework show. It was now time for me to go back inside, but before I got ready, I decided to go and pray and give an offering another time.

I was interrupted during my prayers by yelling and screaming. I hear,"Protect our empress, don't let him get in!" Some women ran inside with me as I was going to check out what's happening but they held me back, saying that it's too dangerous. I told them I wanted to help, and they told me I needed to protect my gifts. They told me that if  whoever it was got ahold of my powers, they'd ruin the world.

They made me hide while they fought. Slowly but surely, it gets quiet, and I hear someone open the trap door. I thought it would be one of the guards or servants, but instead, it was a demon I didn't recognize.

"My, my, my, what a beauty you are," he happily greets me. "My beautiful Empress of Blessings, will you do the honors of blessing me?" He questions.

I ask skeptically,"What do you wish for?"

He smiles and says,"I wish for the power to snuff out the light of this world."

I look at him bewildered and yell out,"NO! I WILL NEVER GRANT YOU THE ABILITY TO DO THAT!" I jump out of the trap door and run away from him, then turn to face him, preparing to fight. "I would rather die than grant you that wish." I say determined to protect our world.

"If you won't give me what I want, then I suppose I'll just have to get violent." He cackled. "My sweet, sweet Empress, you've only barely begun you're training, I've waited hundreds of years for you to be born. I've learned everything I can about the Empress of Blessings. Any abilities you have, I know how to counter and can counter." He smirks.
