Ch 13: Aftermath

I feel someone tapping me softly and I wake up to Sesshomaru saying my name.

"Kagome, we need to head to hot springs and get to the others before they wake," he said in a hushed voice, I just nodded my head. He wraps me in his haori and picks me up. I'm still half asleep so I just lay on him listening to his heart.

He quickly gets to a hot spring and unwraps me while I'm half asleep, sits me in it gently then leaves. I assume he's getting the rest of our stuff so I just relax. He's back in no time and gets in with me. He asks if he can clean me and I just mumble a yes to him and he gets started. He gently washes me up and then washes himself. This time I get out on my own and get dressed a little slowly on my part.

After he's dressed we go back to the group before they awake and I go back to sleep on him. I still wake up before everyone besides Sesshomaru, since he's always on guard.

I start to make food for everyone and they gradually start to awaken, since they smell the food. They were staring at me again. I knew that would happen since I'm taller have pointed ears, markings like Sesshomaru, the moons, my hair is black and blue, and I also have sharp nails and teeth. It feels like I'm truly me, even though I'm different.

"Kagome !" Shippou yells. "You look amazing," he says excitedly as he starts touching my hair and hands.

I hand him a bowl of noodles as Rin comes running over to tell me the same thing as Shippo. It makes me smile because I thought my change would be uncomfortable for them. Both Sango and Miroku told me that I'm beautiful with Miroku's added comment, bear my children and Sango hitting him. Even Inuyasha says I look nice. I'm happy they are all so accepting of me. I feel so happy that they aren't judging me.

After I handed out noodles to everyone, I asked Sesshomaru if he wanted some, he said no, so I made myself a bowl and ate my food. After we ate, we started to look for more jewel shards.

I got kidnapped again. The demon sensed the Jewel Shards and took me. Now normally this wouldn't happen because Sesshomaru is around, but…he flew off somewhere. I'm not familiar with my powers yet so I'm not going to use them. I might hurt myself instead, at least I can't get hurt easily anymore.

We made it to this snake demon's lair and he had a bunch of human bones everywhere. It's actually terrifying because all of the humans were all in different stages of decomposing so it smelled really bad. I noticed that the eyes and arms were missing on all of them. I'm starting to actually get scared. I'm staying in a corner trying to make sure he stays far away from me. He looks to be preparing something, but he's making it out of the human remains, so… disgusting, I might puke.

He finishes what he was doing and starts walking towards me.

"Give meee thee jewelll shardsss," he says, hissing.

"No, I'm not handing them over," I say angrily while plugging my nose.

"Fineee, then, I guess, I haaave no choice…," he says menacingly.

He starts walking towards me and takes out his weapon. He has a smile on his face that looks like he'll enjoy what he's about to do.

"I wasss going to take youu inn," he says, chuckling. "I've neveeer met a deemon that can't taint theee jewelll shardsss, what aaan interesssting woman, too bad I can't keeeep you," he says with a fake point then licks his blade. "Maybeee eeeating you willll be eeeeven betteer," he yells while running at me laughing maniacally.

I stop him from hitting me with his blade and fight with his to get it out of his hands. He uses his tail to hit me back. I hit the wall but get up right away. I pick up a rock near me and throw it at him, it strikes him in the face but this just makes him angry. His eyes start to turn into slits with red around them. He starts to turn into a snake and starts hissing at me.
