The Miko,Her Lost Love, and Power

Ch 2: Heartbreak

They started the day as they normally would, Kagome starts making breakfast while Inuyasha and the others wait for her. She passes out the bowls and they all talk about where their headed next. Once they figured that out they started their journey to find more jewel shards.

Kagomes pov:

Hmm I wonder why everyone is so quiet.

Then finally Inuyasha says,"Don't ya think we should take a rest??"

I thought about it we have been walking for hours and haven't came up with any jewel shards.
That's when I said,"ok yea we should take a break."

After we all sat down we started talking about many subjects that's when I decided to ask Sango to go to the hot spring with me she said "sure" so we went. I wanted to talk about Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.

Sango asked,"What's going on is there something wrong??"

"Well yea its just that I feel like Inuyasha is going to see Kikyo again at first I didn't say anything cause I didn't want to worry you," I say with a sad face.

"I understand Kagome you love him but you feel like he loves Kikyo, it's okay, but please tell me next time because I could tell something was bothering you," she says concerned.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I feel sad and jealous but I know how he feels about her."

"It's okay Kagome I feel that way when Miroku acts all lecherous those are normal feelings" Sango says with caring eyes.

"I feel much better now that I've told someone but about the Sesshomaru thing...he seemed like he only came to fight Inuyasha to see something."

"I know right so I'm not the only one who saw that, I thought it was weird that he would only fight for that short amount of time."

"To be truthful it kind of scared me because I just wanted to know what he came for."

"Yea me too."

Inuyasha's pov:

I smelled Kikyo but I decided to stay here until everyone was sleep.

I was sitting under a tree thinking this, when Miroku said,"when are you goingto stop hurting Kagome."

I didn't know what to say so I just kind of sat there confused.

"Inuyasha you have to decide who you wanna be with or else Kagome is going to be hurt badly and then she will leave for good."

I still didn't know what to say I just looked at him dumbfounded.

"Inuyasha im serious about this, I'm worried about how this is gonna effect everyone especially Sango and Shippo."

I was still looking at him confused on where this is all coming from, then he said," If you're not going to say anything, I'll just let you think about what I said."

And that's when I started thinking about it Kagome, Sango, and Shippo will be affected by my choice, I don't understand how I guess I'll just think about it later. Finally they came back saying goodnight to everyone and went to sleep. Now is my chance to leave he said as he got up.

But little did he know Kagome heard him get up and followed him.

Kagome pov:

I followed Inuyasha all the way to this clearing, even though I couldn't really keep up, I still made it. When I got there I heard Inuyasha and Kikyo talking.

"Inuyasha, when are you going to tell her that your in love with me." Kikyo said with saddened eyes.

"I'm telling her tomorrow I swear Kikyo, I'll tell her because Kikyo your my one and only true love,"he said with the most loving eyes.

Kagome felt her heart shatter but this time she didn't want to cry about him. This time she would leave the group but only because it's necessary to heal. She left a note for Sango and the rest of them and then she left. She ran as far as she could. But then she slammed into something hard. It was Sesshomaru, he looked at her with concern and confusion.

Sesshomaru pov:

I looks at the Miko with concern and confusion in my eyes he could tell there was something wrong with her.

"What's wrong Miko" I say as my eyes softens and looks at her with worry. I still don't know why I care so much.
She muttered,"Inuyasha" as her eyes started to water I could tell she was trying to hold it in.

"It's okay Miko let it out" I pull her into my embrace as she starts sobbing into my chest, but why did I let her do this I don't care for her.

'Yes you do she is mate'
'No she's not my mate I'll never mate with her'
'But you will eventually wouldn't you like to know how she looks in the moon light smiling and embracing you.'
'I would never want that feeling'
'Then why are you holding her in this embrace'
'Because she needed comfort'
'No its because you want her to be yours, now with that said im going back in my cage and you'll see in time that you want her'
While I was talking with my beast I realized I sat down with the Miko in my arms. She fell asleep after crying her eyes out. She was so beautiful like the moon and the stars surrounding her. Ugh what am I thinking get control of yourself. She is not your mate she is nothing to you but a girl that, the stupid Half breed kept around to find jewel shards.
