"Takara!" Gojo yelled trying to reach her.
She smiled at him and putted her hand on his cheek.
"It's okay, you did well" she said falling on her knees. "You did great as a protector."
Blood was flooding from her stomach and mouth.
"No, no, Takara, Takara!"
He gasped and got up. She was deeply asleep beside him.
He was sweating.
What the hell was that? Gojo asked himself.
Without realizing, he sobbed.
"Satoru?" Takara spoke sleepy. "Are you okay?"
She sat and turned to him.
"Yeah, I just- I had a nightmare, I'm okay" he whispered cleaning his tears.
"B-but you're crying." She cupped his face on her hands. "I'm going to get you some water."
"No" he grabbed her hand "Don't go."
Takara frowned. He seemed so worried, so scared. She couldn't understand why, but she also felt sadness coming from him.
"Okay" she whispered. "I won't go".
He rested his head on her shoulder without releasing her. "It was just a nightmare"
He kept whispering to himself.
As the days went by, the bond between them was getting stronger, quickly and almost unnoticeable, at least for them.
"How long are they going to hide it? Do they think we are dumb or something?" Nobara crossed her arms in front of her chest.
"Why?" Itadori asked frowning.
"Oi, pay attention!" Nobara slapped his head.
Yuuji complained.
"Nobara is convinced they're dating" Megumi spoke.
"Look at them!" Nobara pointed dramatically with her arms "Have any of you seem Gojo-sensei smile like that? Or be less of an idiot?"
The three of them looked at their senseis. They were talking cheerfully, smiling at each other warmly.
"They're totally in love" Yuuji whispered mesmerized.
"See?! Dumb Megumi" Nobara punched his arm.
"Oi! What do you two idiots know about being in love?" Fushiguro replied annoyed.
"Do you know something about it?" The other two turned around to face him.
"Uh... no" he admitted ashamed.
"Then your statements won't be valid" the girl pointed at him with her finger.
Fate was growing into them, and the feelings between them were exactly in the direction they were supposed to be. A great love, between the greatest and the strongest. And a destiny, a great war, they would have to fight side to side.
(. . .)
"How do you feel?" She asked when he opened his eyes.
He was on his side, facing her. She pulled aside hairs from his face.
"Exhausted" he whispered closing his eyes again.
"Can you tell me about your dream?"
He froze. He didn't want to remember it, even though the images were replaying again and again in his head.
Gojo decided it was best to not tell her, at least not for now.
"I don't want to talk about, do you mind?" He said in the same whisper from before.
Takara felt the need to push, to ask again, to find out what tormented him that much. But she stopped herself.
"It's okay" she smiled at him and kissed his forehead. "Whenever you are ready."
(. . .)
"Did you heard that?" She stopped walking, making him stop.
"What?" Nanami asked taking his sword out.
"Voices" she whispered walking carefully.
"So they have a goddess now? I only care about Gojo Satoru and sealing him" a man's voice started to get clear.
"She might be a problem, though." Someone replied. "She has some sort of reputation, should we take her out too?"
There was silence for a moment.
"I agree, we should get her out of the way" the first man replied "Let's declare war to Jujutsu High and take them down."
"Oohh, Geto, this is going to be so exciting!" The other replied.
Takara's knees went weak. She wasn't worried about herself, she was worried about Gojo.
Nanami grabbed her by the waist and held her tightly against his body.
"Takara, let's leave" he whispered walking backwards without releasing her.
He realized how paralyzed she was. Nanami had also noticed how Gojo and her had grown deeper into their connection with the passage of time.
He knew what she just heard made her extremely scared. He could see it in her eyes.
"Nanami..." she whispered grasping on his sleeve tightly. "W-who was that?"
She was crying, she could only hear sealing Gojo Satoru again and again in her head.
"That was Geto... Satoru's old friend." He replied sitting her down in the passenger seat.
"What did he meant by that?" She whispered holding herself.
She wasn't even sure why she was crying, she felt an overwhelming fear on her chest, what was that about?.
"I don't know, Takara... I don't know." He whispered back concerned too.
(. . .)
"Please, please" she was crying on her knees. "Don't be stupidly irresponsible and don't get killed"
Gojo was static. She arrived carried by Nanami, her body wouldn't react. As soon as she saw him she started to cry again, and she grasped his clothes desperate.
"Takara..." he knelt confused. "What are you talking about?"
"They want to seal you, Gojo" Nanami spoke watching the painful scene.
"Who?" He frowned.
"Geto" Takara cried holding into his arms.
Geto? Gojo opened his eyes widely.
"Satoru" she whispered with her voice cracking "I don't even know where is this sadness coming from"
"But please- don't fuck up and die" she looked directly at his eyes.
He felt it. How overwhelmed she was, he even felt like she was angry, stressed, sad, afraid.
"I can't die" he smiled at her. "I am the strongest"
She chuckled.
"And I can't die because I have to protect you" he caressed her cheek "You're my goddess now, remember?"
He smiled warmly, making her somehow feel at ease. She smiled back, and let herself faint in his arms.
