"If they aren't fighting already, they are waiting for us in the shrine." Nanami spoke as he ran behind Gojo.
Satoru was on the edge of losing his head. He almost saw blurry. He was dying to save her.
They turned in the corner and reached the temple.
"Utahime!" Gojo called.
She and her students turned around to face them.
"She's on top of the mountain." Todo spoke. "But there are a lot of cursed spirits and curse users along the way."
(. . .)
Inariyama was the top of the shrine. 233m above the sea level.
She was surrounded by otsukas, craved with the name of the believers and Inari's name. Small torii gates placed around them, and stones with plants growing on top of them were part of the sight.
She spat blood again. "Shit"
She touched her stomach, the last cursed spirit had stabbed her deeply.
"Oi, Geto, why don't you just kill her?" Mahito asked bored.
"And let Gojo miss it?" He giggled back.
Takara was getting tired, she knew she could keep fighting, but she was sore and bleeding.
I might faint before ending this she thought frustrated.
"Satoshi" she called him. "Satoshi, where are you?"
The kitsune appeared before her, with sad eyes.
"Goddess, what happened to you?" She was hiding behind a huge stone.
"I'm hurt, but I can't die yet." She coughed. "I'm going to ask for your help."
"Anything you need, goddess." He bowed at her.
(. . .)
"We're almost there!" Satoru yelled back at Yuuji.
They were running up to the top.
"Isn't this like a sacred place? Isn't it disrespectful?" Yuuji asked.
"It is, but the goddess herself is here."
"Gojo."
He stopped, he was facing Satoshi.
"Satoshi, where is Takara?" He grabbed the kitsune by the collar. "You left her alone? Are you insane?"
"Satoru, listen carefully." Satoshi replied calmly. "She has a plan."
(. . .)
Her fingers were filled with her own blood. She was sneaking to every corner she could reach.
"Goddess, how long are you going to hide?" She heard Geto spoke. "I've not finished with you yet."
She took her katana firmly, and stood up.
"Gojo is running late" Geto sighed "I want him to watch you die, so then I can seal him".
Takara chuckled.
"Listen, fucker" she climbed the stone. "This is my holy place and this is disrespectful as hell."
"And I must say, you're at disadvantage." She pointed her katana at him.
Yuuji jumped and flew above her, taking Mahito with him on the way. Geto turned shocked.
"I certainly wasn't expecting that."
"Cut the crap, Geto" Gojo landed beside Takara. "You knew we were coming."
Takara looked at him with relief. Satoshi stood on the other side and slightly bowed his head to her. "It's done, goddess."
"Let's fight, then" she swung her Katana. "Satoru, don't get sealed like an idiot."
He chuckled. "Have a little fate in me, my Goddess."
Satoshi transformed into a fox and growled at the cursed spirit coming on their way. He threw himself to attack it.
"Now now, goddess." Geto laughed "You got no chance against me."
She jumped and reached him. He was avoiding every punch she gave him. He saw Takara divided in two and lost concentration.
"You sure forgot that I'm an illusion." She smirked cutting his clothes.
The prison realm felt off him, and she kicked it to her other self.
"I've lost my patience!" He yelled annoyed.
"So have I" Satoru replied crossing his fingers.
Everything was taken over by the unlimited void. He quickly grabbed Takara and pulled her close to him.
For the first time, Gojo realized she was hurt.
"Takara..." he gasped.
"Don't worry, it's nothing" she smiled weakly.
She was almost out of strength.
"I'm finishing this today." She looked at him.
He vanished the domain and Geto fell, still paralyzed. She released herself from Gojo and threw the Realm in front of Geto, he got immobilized by it.
"Satoru" she turned to him and smiled "I love you."
He widened his eyes at the same time she hit the ground with her hand.
Light started to emerge from every corner of the mountain.
"What are you reading?" Gojo kissed her head.
"My mom's spell journal" she turned around and smiled. "Some of this might be useful soon".
She had used an invocation symbol. She knew it would probably kill her, but she was determined to end it that night.
Her eyes rolled back, and she started to levitate.
"I'm the death itself." Her voice had transformed. "And it's your time, Geto."
"No, no! Wait!" Geto tried to move. "Wait! You can't outsmart me! That's not possible!"
Her hand went up and a dark mass went through his neck. He gasped as blood came out of his mouth.
"Now, you're the one being sealed." She dropped on her knees smirking.
"No!" Geto said in almost a whisper before the prision realm shut him in.
"Takara!" Gojo cried out running to her.
She turned weakly with a soft smile on her face.
"It's okay" she replied "You did well as a protector, thank you."
Blood came out of her mouth.
"No, no, no" he said frenetic "Takara, no!"
"Shhh, don't be so loud" she chuckled "I am the protector of warriors, this is just how it was supposed to be."
"Takara, please" he was crying now.
"I love you, Satoru" she smiled with tears running down her face. "Sorry I didn't say it earlier."
She closed her eyes.
"Takara!" He yelled desperate.
He held her close to him, soaking himself with her blood.
"I love you too" he whispered crying.
