Dear Erwin...

Levi woke up to the most frantic knocking on my door that I had ever heard. With a simple groan, he rolled out of his hard bed and made his way to the loud door before whoever was there woke anyone else up. The person turned out to be Hange.

"What the hell", He grunted as they immediately fled into his room and slammed the door before the captain could even get to the handle.

"You're fucked, You're completely fucked!". They started rambling on, talking too quick too early for me to him to understand a word.

"Slow down, what?", He sighed.

It was too early for her bullshit. He would admit that they were "best friends" or however close two adults could get when one was antisocial and literally during a war filled world. There was no time for labels.

"Erwin came to me, he wants to see you like.. right now! What do we do.. do we run? Wall Maria is destroyed and Erwin fucking Smith is looking for you!", They said.

They couldn't be any louder, but if they could he didn't want to find out. Quickly hushing his friend, there were so many things going through Levi's head. Erwin wanted to see him?

THE LETTERS.

With the collapse of Wall Maria, last night he decided right after finishing writing that last letter, he was sending Hange on the voyage of a lifetime. Well, over to Commander Erwin's room which wasn't extremely far given the fact that he resided in the same building as all of them. They didn't have time to argue about who slept where when they were essentially out of Wall Rose venturing in dangerous territory like seventy percent of the time.

"Uhm", Was all he could say. Levi was too deep in thought of what the hell to do. Did he read all of it? All of them?

"If we're hiding you should pick somewhere that isn't walking distance from his room, Levi". He shot a glare over at them before inhaling.

Exhaling, He was quiet. "Okay, go", He said. Hange tilted their head in confusion but listened to my order and left the room. He knew He was safe when the door made a clicking sound.

"Fuck", He whispered and brought his hands up to his face, hiding in them for a few seconds. Not long after he had a plan. He didn't want to run from the situation, but he needed more time. Yet again everything felt like it needed more time.

His time was up. Levi heard another set of knocking on the door. There was barely light cracking through his window as he looked over at the door. These knocks were heavier and not led by the bubbly person who entered before. His heart sank into his stomach as his legs stoop up without permission. Levi walked wearily to the door and stood there for a while.

"Levi?", He heard a man's voice say. His name. Erwin. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Levi turned away from the door, panicking. He backed up until his back was against the door. Standing there for a while, he waited and wondered if he was still there.

"Erwin", He said at a hushed tone. He knew he was still there. There was no way he would've left after Levi's stunt. Those god damn letters.

His hands shook a bit due to the anxiety of dealing with his problems. He used one of the unstable hands to slowly turn the door handle. You would've thought the man was a snail. When the door finally opened, the light emitting from a hand held candle from the hallway. Levi's room had enough of them lit to adequately lighten the room to see so he took it and placed it down.

"Hey", Erwin said. It sounded awkward to Levi but probably didn't to himself. He didn't even know what to say. What should he have said. Hey, now you know i'm in love with you?
