Chapter 3 10/02/15

"Hey Daniel." I walk up to the man in dark brown trench coat and a matching scarf. He turns and smiles at me. I go up and give him a hug which he returns.

"How are you doing today love?" He asks with a thick British accent.

"I'm good. Just really tired from last night all the family came by. Are you ready for your personal tour of Oxford."

"Definitely." He smiles and I pull out my DSLR camera and put it round my neck. I hand him a smaller DSLR.

"Here you said you wanted to learn. But be careful. That was the first camera I bought. I had to save for months to get that." I give him as serious face as I can buy end up cracking a smile.

"I will guard it with my life." I nod and we begin my personal walking tour of Oxford. I take him to my favourite places I would always go when I was younger.

We spend the day walking around my home town. I showed Daniel the highlights of Oxford. It's not as spectacular as the sights of London or Paris but I find it beautiful. The old buildings holding year of history and stories. The seasonal trees by the roads changing from bright green to and deep amber and then to a scarlet red.

We have been walking around all day. Every now and then we will hop on and off a bus to get somewhere a bit further away. We have been to a few different Universities looking at the architecture and I told him what I know. He actually seemed interested by this stuff.

It was now early in the afternoon, my feet are slightly sore and my stomach is rumbling. Probably should have had breakfast this morning. We are now standing in the Bodleian Library. Everything is so quiet. I am taking so pictures of the old dusty books and show Daniel how I frame a shot.

All of a sudden my stomach rumbles. I feel my cheeks get warm with embarrassment. "Oh. I'm so sorry."

He just laughs, well laughs softly. "It's fine. I was starting to get hungry too." He smiles which makes me feel better. God. That smile can make anyone feel happy. When he smiles his eyes lighten up and he has a little crinkle near his eye. His cute dimples show and his smile goes from ear to ear.

"Come there's a pub near by." I grab his hand in mine. His large hand engulfs my small one. He hold tight onto my hand as we walk out of the Library. I direct and showing him down a few small streets to the The Turf Tavern.

"My brother and I would come here after Uni." I lead him into a small tucked away tavern. There are dark timber table set up. Some are in booths with deep green velvet seats. The lighting is low and there is strong smell of a mix of beer and food.

"Hey, can we get a booth?" I ask the waitress. She is in her late 50 s and seems very sweet.

"Sure love, come this way" She sets us in a small table around the back. Not many people would see us from here. "Can I get you any drink?"
