Chapter 6 12/02/15
"Argh! That's so heavy. What's in there?" I say as I try and lug Dan's bag to the where he is buying a train ticket. Dan comes running up to me and snatches the bag off me.
"Why did you take it. I told you to wait." He grabs the bag off me. "It's all the warm clothes. Come on, we're in winter." I nod as we both walk up to the platform. When Pri found out dan was leaving she was not happy at all. She was crying and telling him to stay. She doesn't understand what he is. She just thinks he's a really good friend of mine. Which he is. The only way Dan was allowed to leave was promising he'll come back soon.
"Sorry. Just wanted to help." He wrapped his arms around me resting his head on top of my head.
"Thank you princess." And with my insides just melted. "Come on let's get to the platform."
We both walk down towards the platform having a bit of a gap between. I am seriously tempted to to grab his hand. To kiss him but every minute I need to remind myself that he is the prince and that could never happen. No matter my dreams and wishes I know it can't happen. I'm just some meek commoner. I don't have nobelity to be seen with him.
I walk through the station watching couples, families, loved ones saying good bye. Everyone embracing in hugs and kisses. sweet words of love and friendship are muttered between the people. Dan walks solemnly beside we both are quiet and walk straight to our destination. My feet push me forward one step closer to Dan leaving.
Once we reach the play form after a long solemn walk, Dan pull me into his side. This gesture feels a lot more than just friends. It feels warm, strong and protective. In his arms I will never be hurt. I look up at him and seeing smiling down at me. "The train will be here in 5 minutes." He says softly as we lean against the wall. I sigh softly trying not to let him hear me.
"Hey, hey." I turn and look up at him once more. "Hey, what's wrong?" He places his hand so the are on either of my cheeks. His thumb wipes softly across my cheek. His hand force me to look up into his eyes. Those ocean blue eye that are pouring in to my hazle.
"I don't want you to go." I look down a bit embarrassed. I just meet this guy a few days ago and it already seems like my world is drawn to him. I know he's the prince but I want him to stay with me.
"I don't want to go either." He pulls my gaze back to his. "I don't want to go back home and be stack up in some castle meeting dignitaries and living the way my parents want. I would love to stay here in Oxford with your family. They are the sweetest the kindest people you'll ever meet, maybe you Mum is a bit too forward, but you have welcomed me into your home and given me the best welcome. Treated me like a normal person not some royal. Thank you."
He swipes my hair slightly back placing the stray hairs behind my ear. "And you Char. You are the most amazing person I have meet. You are generous, kind, giving, sweet and beautiful. What you have done with your life is amazing things in your 24 years. You have traveled the world, meet all different communities. You don't use all your money on flashy things. You live out of a suit case. I have never meet anyone like you. I need you to come to London. I need to see you again. I will be distraught if I never see you again."
My eyes begin to weep at his words. I jump up and wrap my arms around Dan's neck. His arms go tightly around my waist while a buried my head in his shoulder. We stand there tight just spending a moment together before he has to leave.
We sadly pull back due to the sound of a train horn. My eyes have not stopped weeping. Dan grabs my hand and pulls me closer to the door. I just meet him a few days ago and now I am crying that he's leaving.
