Winter hates Qibli. He's just around him all the time. Of course Kinkajou and Turtle are annoying him too, but Moonwatcher doesn't annoy him.
"Moon! Come on and join us!" Turtle yelled out. Winter rolled his eyes. Being a prince, it's pretty boring, Winter thought. Moon came out, reading a scroll. Winter looked up.
Winter stared at her. Qibli smiled and looked up at the stars. Winter always wondered if he liked Moon. But he doesn't show it around Qibli.
"Ok! I'm done." Moonwatcher said, rolling up her scroll. Finally she's done, Winter thought again, facepalming.
"Are you ok, Winter?" Moon asked. Winter moved his talons from his face and turned blue. Moon giggled.
As she walked away, she looked back at Winter. Her smile makes Winter go crazy in his head. Wow, a very awkward moment, Winter thought. Qibli shook his head and layed down on the soft cold grass. The others layed down and Winter only stared at Moon. "Lie down, chicken!" Qibli yelled at Winter. He looked at Qibli and rolled his eyes and sighed. Moon layed right beside him. Winter nervously smiled and turned blue.
The stars shone brightly and the Jade Mountain dragonets watched the shooting stars. Moon was very surprised. "I never seen a shooting star before!" She happily said, smiling. Winter smiled and shifted his wings. His wing touched her tail.
Moon blushed and looked at Winter. Oh icebergs! He thought. Winter wrapped himself with his wings and hid his almost blue covered face. Moon smiled awkwardly and tapped on Winters wing. He uncovered his eyes and smiled awkwardly. "It's ok, Winter...it was a accident." Moon said, with a giggling squeaky voice.
Winter like that about Moon. When she has a squeaky voice. Why am I only thinking about my wing hitting her tail?, Winter thought, while he is staring at Moon with his dark blue eyes. "Well, we should go to bed." Qibli said, yawning. Kinkajou closed her eyes and leaned on Turtle. Turtle blushed. "Um, am I a-"
"A pillow....your my pillow." Kinkajou quietly said, smiling.
Turtle looked at Kinkajou and smiled.
Wow, what a good pair, Winter thought. He wishes that Qibli wasn't there beside Moon. But Winter knew that his group needs him. And Moon.
"Yeah, let's go inside." Turtle said as he carried Kinkajou on his back. The dragonets went inside. "Moon?" Winter asked. Ok, it's time, his mind said. Moon walked over and sat down beside him. "What's up?" Moon asked, patiently.
Winter struggled to say the words that he was going to say. "Um...do you..." He stopped and shuddered. Moon put her talons on his shoulders. "You can ask me anything. It's our little secret." She said, smiling. Winter took a deep breath. "Do you like Qibli?" He blurted out. Moon turned red. "Well, he's a nice guy, but you are...a little better than him." She honestly said.
Qibli is...less better than me?, Winter thought. "Well, night." Moon said, walking into the cave. Winter stood out in the breeze, looking at the mountains and stars.
That wasn't what I wanted to say...
