Stars POV
Patricia's mom came to pick her on this foggy Monday, I could see it in her eyes that she didn't want to leave, but it was for the best because she wasn't safe with us
"Star will you be fine without me?"
"The house would always be boring"
I smiled softly at her " I was fine before you came remember? "
"please stay safe, I'd keep in touch" she replied clutching her pink bag, to match with the pink trolley she came with. She was going back to alaska her mom had settled in well.
We hugged for a while before she released me, her tears dropped on my shoulders but she turned quickly, she didn't want me to see her crying.
I stood outside watching their airport shuttle drive off, I didn't want to cry either!
I took a walk to the road and got a cab to moe's lodge, I knocked once and as if he were expecting me, he opened the door almost immediately
"Hey"
"Hi star" he muttered, he was smelling of a minty aftershave
"Don't just stand there, come in" he said under his breath and walked in
"How are you?" I asked
"I'm fine" he exhaled loudly
"Something's bothering you moe, when did you start keeping stuffs from me?"
"Star, I'm worried about obinna.... I haven't Heard from him"
"Yeah" I sighed
"It's been two weeks"
"I've tried all his numbers"
"Could it be your father and his people?" I shuddered after the question, I had been trying hard, not to think of the wealth, I even tried to stop thinking of aramide so that it wouldn't lead to thinking of the wealth.
"I'm not sure, obi's dad can't hurt him" he said slowly
"I know he was mad at me the same day I saved you, we came together"
"Really?"
"Yes star, I'm so worried babe, what if something bad really happened??" I had only seen moe this worried once, so I took his hand quickly
"Nothing would happen to him babe" I pacified but my heart kept beating with uncertainty, I was worried too, but I had to be strong so he'd be strong too
He let go of my hands and hugged me.
"How was your day?" He whispered
"Patricia left for alaska today" was all I said
"You miss her don't you?"
"I'm literally holding tears, I didn't know she'd leave soon"
