August: "It's getting late, and I want to go home."
...
August: "Karina. Karina! Are you even listening?"
Karina: "August, do you hear that?"
August: "Hear what? Ma'am, I think you've finally gone mad."
Karina: "August, shut your ever flapping gums and listen"
August: *Offended gasp*
*August and Karina hear video game intro music in the distance*
August: "Huh, I guess you're not insane. yet."
Karina: "Ugh! What do you mean 'yet'! I'm not insane!"
August: "Whatever you say kid, anyway, what's that noise?
Karina: "I don't know. That's why I asked you, sir."
August: "Well, I don't know what to tell ya. I think it's coming from over there."
Karina: "Yeah... Let's go look."
*Karina and August look around for the sound, until they stumble upon a pile of rocks and gravel.*
August: "Welp, the noise is coming from here. I always assumed this was like a kid's pet grave or something."
Karina: "Yeah... Well, what are you waiting for? Let's move the rocks!"
August: "Um, no!? Let's say this is a grave, for one, that's disrespectful to the dead. Two, I'm pretty dang sure that's illegal."
Karina, on her knees, digging through the rocks: " But~ It's not a grave, and it's not illegal. There's nothing to worry about! Plus, look! It's that new Nin-tender Swap that just came out!"
August: "Woah! Wait what?! Really?!"
Karina: "Yeah Really! Let's take it home with us!"
August: "Does this mean I finally get to go home to my sweet bed!?"
Karina: "Yeah, Yeah. Whatever."
*Screen fades to the next scene*
*Karina is sitting on the floor in front of the couch staring at the television, while August is laying down with his eyes closed.*
Karina: "Can you get off your bum and play with me?"
August: "No."
*Karina sighs and calmly gets up from the floor and turns to August*
Karina: "Last chance. Play with me."
*August doesn't move*
Karina: "So you have chosen... death."
August: "Wha-"
*Karina proceeds to jump on him, pressing her elbow in his stomach*
Karina: "AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA!"
*Karina gets off of August. He, looking as though he was about to die, looks at Karina."
August: "Are- are you sure about that?"
STATIC NO SIGNAL SCREEN COMES ON
*Screen fades to Karina and August, ready to play the game*
Karina: "Hm, looks like there's already a game in here."
August, non-enthusiastically, sleepily: "mhm.."
Karina: "Oh wake up! All you do is sleep! Come on, connect your controller and press play."
August: "Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say mom."
Karina: *Exhales*
*Karina and August press play, the world starts to load in. They play through the introduction, and the tutorial. After they finish the tutorial, August and Karina's characters look at the screen.*
Karina's Character (Mariet): "Are you ready to play?"

Karina's Character (Mariet): "Are you ready to play?"
August: "Uh-, Is it talking to us?"
Karina: "I have no idea... Do you think this game is that high tech?"
Karina's Character (Mariet): "Are you ready to play?"
August: "I don't know! Answer it!"
Karina: Why do I have to answer it!?"
Karina's Character (Mariet): "Are you ready to play?"
August: "It's your player!"
Karina: "Uhhg, Fine. Yes, We are ready to play."
Karina's Character (Mariet):
Karina's Character (Mariet): "Excellent. We shall begin"
*Karina and August watch the in-game character as they mess with files. The character presses a button, and the screen starts to light up. August closes his eyes out of reflex, and Karina's eyes practically sparkle as she looks at the lit up screen. Until she looked at august. His body was disintegrating into pixels, going towards the screen.*
Karina, horrified: "AUGUST! AUGUST WHATS-"
*August opens his eyes, to see a horrified karina screaming at him, her arm disintegrating away as she screams, practically crying. August's eyes widen, as he stares at his leg. Karina's eyes are darting across the room, trying to figure out what's going on.*
August: *screams*
